I am fed up with hearing time and time again abt our culture of victims, whether it be racism, sexism, ageism, and of course the now moving into … accidentism, suing your mother brother and child if u slip on their kitchen floor.
Lets stop being victims and just get on with life its too short, deal with whats important, deal with any issues that need dealing with and move on.
It’s all moan moan, this isnt fair that isn’t fair, fgs life isn’t fair get over it! and stop worrying about whats not fair and enjoy what little of it we have.23 July, 2012 at 2:19 pm #504445Ive started to enjoy my life nowadays Poli, more so than ever….just saying

yes me too acs……….there were many years where all i ever did was juggle money to pay this, to pay that because i didn’t want any debt………and i did it and kept my head above water……..today i feel all the long drawn out decisions i made at that time have paid off……….life is easier, less stressful……..i am enjoying life more and realise also that it’s been a long time coming and so i mustn’t waste time whinging, moaning etc
years ago i thought being a pragmatist was really unlucky but today i really see the benefits :D
23 July, 2012 at 4:06 pm #504448I reserve the right to whinge and moan about people whingeing and moaning . . . .

23 July, 2012 at 5:41 pm #504450Some ppl are genuinely victims though. Where do you draw the line about someone being a genuine victim and someone crying wolf?
Who decides where that line is drawn?

23 July, 2012 at 7:25 pm #504452Talking of wolves ….
There is a quote in the bible …
” beware of false prophets that come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves” Gospel according to Matthew …also in Aesop’s fables
But the one I like the best is ….
” the only thing worse than a wolf in sheep’s clothing…is a sheep in sheep’s clothing…

People who suffer some of the things you have listed do think they are important and probably are trying to deal with them and would love to move on no doubt and should not be made to feel they shouldn’t raise such issues because a few people think they are just moaners ….. what I think is important may not be to you and vice versa…..it does not mean it should be dismissed……..on the point of racism and victims……..I am sure my parents would have love to have seen their kids not suffer it 50 yrs down the line…….makes you wonder who needs to move on exactly
