It prob dont help when everyone in the music biz is off their t1ts on something seems to part of the package Same with all the models.
I dont care whos fault it is,if they want to take drugs thats up to them but dont start crying when it fecks your life up. Junkies are just like p1ss heads they are weak people who cant handle real life. I use to sell at raves years ago and if someone was il becuase of something they took it would not of bothered me. They know the risk’s so my conscience was clear.
Now i’m anti-drugs now for the record.11 September, 2008 at 4:50 pm #370553@*Sian wrote:
Drink kills more people that any other drug in the world yet most of us drink, it slips up and bites you hard, my close friend who was a social worker and had everything going for her is now a raving alchy, she only used to have a few glasses of wine a week but after the trauma she had in her life she realised those few glasses of wine nulled the pain and it became excessive, now her life is ruined, I can’t understand how people cannot sympathise with that.
People must have swinging bricks in place of a heart.

11 September, 2008 at 4:51 pm #370554What about strength and standing up to problems facing them instead of running away when do we applaud that, rarely. Give me millions i could find better escapism than killing myself on drugs, its her talent she’s wasting and she can get on with it as far as im concerned, she needs to want help and if she does should be given it but not sympathy

I could say the same for you Pete.

and its a damn shame but she let it become excessive and probably didnt have half the support when she needed it that Amy Winehouse could call on and if she had access to a quarter the help then i imagine your friend would pull herself out of that hole.

Sian,,,,,,I don’t have a swinging brick for a heart, altough i’m sure there would be those who disagree.
I do have a great deal of sympathy for those people who fall down, sometimes thru no fault of their own, as in the case of your freind. I know we all bash the social worker when something goes wrong and it’s not I suppose, always their fault, i’d hate to be in that kind of position, in fact I know I couldn’t handle it.
In part though, I do agree with Pete. I was lamblasted for saying something very similar about Peaches Geldof. I was royaly told off by others, about her situation, how hard it is growing up in her world, how her mother died tragically etc etc etc. If they weren’t the name and/or talents they are, they’d just be another joe drug taker, but the fact that daily, theyre spread across the newspapers, really p isses me off.
Shall we take Kate Moss as another example. Daily her face was in the papers, looking gaunt, fragile along with Pete Townsend. Victims of their own drug fuelled binge the night before,,,,,often with her little girl in tow. Her and people like her, are above the law. They can afford the fines, a day in court is a day they have to get up earlier than normal. Not to mention of course, say it was me, in court, after a drug fuelled night, i’d probably have social workers knocking on my door, concerned for my childs safety. Does it happen to them, no, of course it doesn’t, and that too, is often what really annoys people. One rule if you have enough money and talent, another if you don’t.
11 September, 2008 at 5:15 pm #370559Amy is a talent and anyone saying she isn’t is plain stupid or ignorant
So we’re all entitled to our opinions, but if they’re not the same as yours then they’re wrong? Interesting.

Also people that are homeless are tollerated, it’s in everyday life Pete.
Does anyone here buy the big issue?
I do,, i make a point of it from my favourite seller .. a wee guy that makes me laugh on the dullest of days ! he is not hard sell, he does not have to be, as he has a cracking personality. . To walk away , with heads in the sand, does NOT a true person make. So for £1.50 a week i share the cracking wit of a fellow, down on his luck, but NEVER his inner Karma. He dances with me in the High Street :)
And one fine day, then this fellow finds his way in life, he shall shame us all ..11 September, 2008 at 5:25 pm #370561Thought the Big Issue was only a quid? Was last time I bought one.
