the Amy on the right i feel sorry for the one on the left got herself into that state
11 September, 2008 at 12:52 pm #370533If I got Lung cancer Sian, it would be my own darn fault! I smoked, I knew the dangers and I also gave up.
I am neither stupid or dumb, neither am I narrow minded. We are all entitled to form our own opinions in this “free” world we live in. My opinion is that I think the only talent Amy has is for falling down drunk or high, she has the foulest mouth that ive heard in ages and in my humble opinion, cant sing a note. Every time I have seen her on TV, she just mumbled her way through her song.
I wont argue with you Sian, im way to fragile the now, but I am entitled to have my own opinions

No matter our opinions, hugs still go a long way. :D

11 September, 2008 at 3:06 pm #370535To quote what you said Pete. “Cigarettes kill more people than drugs”. I also think it would be safe to say that anyone who smokes 20 a day is an addict. A drug addict no? A drug addict that is addicted to the most deadly recreational drug on the planet. Would that be correct?
I assume that both you and Dawny were not force fed cigarettes and became drug addicts of your own free will? So what gives either of you the right to condemn Amy for her addiction??
Her addiction is clearly visible on the exterior of her body. Your addictions are hidden away from the world where nobody can see… till your artaries block up and your heart goes BOOM. And yes… this can happen many years after you have stopped which I congratulate you for doing by the way.
You have both been drug addicts….. but it makes unpleasant reading when you put down a fellow addict in this way. With a little help, support and sympathy she may also overcome her problems….. and then rise to the dizzy heights of a message board addict. Who knows eh.

This is what I was saying, just because someone has an addiction doesn’t mean they are less of a person.
Dawny, I don’t want to argue, I won’t, I was having my opinion. Amy Winehouse is a world wide superstar and her music is loved by many, if it’s not to your taste then so be it but others don’t think the same.
There is lots of music I can’t abide listening to but I’d never say they haven’t got talent.

Do you actually read the other peoples posts or do you just plough in. I said all that first bit at least twice and ive got not one iota of sympathy for her She chose to do it and im fucked if im gonna wipe her brow now shes paying the price, they’re problems of her own making not an illness a self inflicted addiction and as both me and Dawny said if die due to smoking thats our fault and you didnt hear either of us ask for any sympathy cause we smoked, she was born with a talent and she’s fucking it up, she is no one else and because she’s rich and famous it’s tolerated
11 September, 2008 at 4:26 pm #370538Also people that are homeless are tollerated, it’s in everyday life Pete.
Does anyone here buy the big issue?
11 September, 2008 at 4:27 pm #370539Of course they’re less of a person Sian they got themselves in that position and now they expect what ? tolerance and sympathy ? As for talent thats a personal thing i dont think she is but if enough people like her stuff then she must be at least to them

So you are saying I am less of a person because i became a drug addict?
11 September, 2008 at 4:29 pm #370541Lots of homeless dont make that choice though Sian she cant plead ignorance to what the drugs would do to her no addict can whether that be illegal drugs nicotene or alcohol. She’s rich she can buy the best treatment for her addiction but then were would her publicity go
