Drugs are great. Anyone who doesn’t agree is a mardy pranny.
 You still bang at it? 8)
I now work with people that abuse drugs and alcohol, I see some pitiful states, I can’t help feeling for them as people, I used to be an addict, I am not shameful, it was part of my life, I cleaned up my act eventually, I have been lucky.
Amy is a talent and anyone saying she isn’t is plain stupid or ignorant, she’s got issues, so what, can’t anyones heart go out to such a troubled soul? All I can say is,I am glad I didn’t have to listen to such bigotted views when I was on my journey to recovery, I had support and respect from those close to me, it’s unfortunate that not everyone is of the same ilk.
11 September, 2008 at 11:04 am #370523Troubled ? why are they all troubled, cigarettes kill more than drugs are all smokers troubled. My heart doesnt go out to her any more than to any drug addict it’s not the french connection no one but themselves made them addicts and unlike many she has the money to pay for whatever fancy clinic or expensive treatment would help. Her issues are she chose to snort shit up her nose and god knows what else and became addicted because she could afford it not to escape from some troubled past or twisted present these are drugs of choice
11 September, 2008 at 11:09 am #370524And the difference is she isnt on the road to recovery anymore than Pete Docherty is or Janis Joplin or Kieth Moon or Jimi Hendrix was
11 September, 2008 at 11:14 am #370525The rehab unit I have to visit on a weekly basis through work is full of people without a penny, they leave the clinic clean after being on a course of Librium and can return as often as they need, for councelling or futher rehab programs.
I feel the same about Amy Winehouse as I do the people who are homeless and are taking the same shyte… how can anybody judge?
This question goes to Pete and Dawny.
If either of you (touch wood) were to die of lung cancer (you’ve both have been excessive smokers) and everyone turned to your family and said, “Well they both smoked like chimneys through their lives, it’s there own fucking fault!”
Wouldn’t that be unjust of them?11 September, 2008 at 11:16 am #370526@pete wrote:

Recovery starts very early on, whilst you are still a user and you’ve admitted to the problem, that is recovery, the first step to recovery.

Wouldn’t that be unjust of them?it would be totally accurate and just though not very sympathetic to the feelings of my family i guess. She has a penny though she chose to take the drugs and does it to excess because she can afford to and she can afford treatment for that addiction the best treatment she’s not deprived she can do almost whatever she wants and she chooses to buzz her tits off. I have sympathy for her family i have none for her
11 September, 2008 at 12:11 pm #370528Every addict can afford to take as many drugs as they like, sometimes pete you can be soooo narrow minded, the thing is, Amy doesn’t have to sell her body or thieve for her drugs, I despair at times… people think that because others have money they should know better…? Is that what you’re saying?
11 September, 2008 at 12:14 pm #370529And pay for the best treatment to overcome her addiction which she seems loathe to do. Im not gonna have sympathy for any addict who chose that path these arent prescription drugs she needed for some ailment and got addicted to I became addicted to cigarettes i still want one thats MY fault for giving in to peer pressure when i was 16 not cause i had issues
11 September, 2008 at 12:19 pm #370530Oh and the answer to the crystal meths is true, she is band at it and I would think she was on it when she did this
11 September, 2008 at 12:20 pm #370531Amy Winehouse was born in the Southgate area of Enfield, London to a Jewish family who shared her love of jazz music. She was raised in a family of four: her father Mitchell (a taxi driver), her mother Janis (a pharmacist), and her older brother Alex. Mitchell would constantly sing around the house, often singing Frank Sinatra to young Amy, who also took to a constant habit of singing to the point that teachers found it difficult keeping her quiet in class.
At the age of nine, her grandmother, Cynthia, suggested she attend the Susi Earnshaw Theatre School for further training. At age ten, Winehouse founded a short-lived rap group called Sweet ‘n’ Sour with childhood friend Juliette Ashby. She stayed at the Earnshaw school for four years before seeking full time training at Sylvia Young Theatre School, but was allegedly expelled at fourteen for “not applying herself” and for piercing her nose. With other children from the Sylvia Young School, she appeared in an episode of The Fast Show in 1997. She later attended the BRIT School in Selhurst, Croydon
Amy Winehouse is to escape Camden, drugs and her entourage by buying a £750,000 house in Suffolk- claims The Sun.
According to the paper she’s closing to sealing a deal on a SEVEN bedroom 150 year old farmhouse in a quiet village- which won’t be as quiet once she arrives.
Awwww poor Amy
