OK, Sian…Pete, yes that’s you. This is an intervention. Very slowly now lift your hands off your keyboards. Ah, yes, that’s right. Now…back up, and stand. Good, very good. Reach for the sky as you stretch out those strained forearms. Great, oh, just great. Next, think of each other naked and smile. Tut, tut, Pete, no getting aroused, we’re just having a laugh. This intervention is almost complete, only one more thing to do…yes, it will be alright, loves…turn your respective computers off. Night night…zzzzzzzzzzz.

11 September, 2008 at 9:14 pm #370614no, we are allowed to be junkies and alchies in peace…
Well, that’s not strictly true. If a junkie carries a hammer for his/her own protection round the town then they’re clearly not being left in peace.

Oh lord, a junkie needs protection? If you want to do belligerent then go ahead, you obviously need it more than I do   You knew exactly what I meant, you knew I meant away from the publics eye. Keep on biting ankles JB, how tall are you?

Big enough not to resort to ‘How big are you?’ in an attempt to win an arguement with someone half my age
11 September, 2008 at 9:31 pm #370618there’s a few different discussions going on here… love of Amy, hatred of Amy, tarring ALL abusers/addicts with the same brush.
As Sian said, no matter WHAT they are or WHERE they come from they are still suffering, and thank god there are people out there who do not pre-judge addicts who come from all walks of life otherwise charities and help would be non-existant and THEN we would have a MAJOR problem.
Ive been watching a few programs over the last few weeks about charity workers who give their spare time up to help people who have problems, whether it be through drugs, drink, or homelessness or even a combination of the three, and the fact these people who help do NOT pre-judge people and hold prejudices is bloody amazing, and these people are the backbone of our society. Take away the fame aspect and I still would imagine those like Amy etc would still be hooked on something as its in the genes… its just a whole lot easier to get the drugs than it is to get the help.
I hope those who are judging now dont ever need charity or help and face someone with the same prejudices that they hold, as all they will get is a finger waved in their faces and may regret holding the views that they do.
Life can change very very quickly, something we should all be aware of whilst we sit in our warm houses with our happy families.

To help people not to sympathise and its easy enough to get help the fact is it’s self inflicted no one madse them take drugs drink cigarettes bon bons liqurice allsorts or extra strong mints. It’s not about judgement its about sympathy i will not say awww poor alchy to turn to drugs rather than face problems is a weakness not a strength I dont say shoot them for not being as strong as others of course i dont but dont turn them into working class heros either. We near glorify them, Keith Moon what a lad eh yeah a dead lad long before his time

I didn’t say how big are you, there you are trying to mince my words again, how tall are you? It’s another theory I am working on, no wonder I don’t sleep.
Shazzle, I love doing my volunteer work, I am giving back to a community I was once part of, helping those that helped me, I feel worthy of my posistion and look forward to becoming more involved, which thankfully won’t be long.
I am giving up my Christmas ( I don’t want a pat on the back ) to feed the homeless this year, whilst the people who don’t have sympathy will sit all smug in their warm houses, thinking, well it’s their own fault, nobody shoved the drink or drugs into them… All I can say is, fuck em, I can’t be around small minded people. Also I am not saying the people that do care that choose christmas with their families are wrong either before JB or pete pick my sentence to bits
11 September, 2008 at 9:48 pm #370621well if you wont need a pat on the back Sian, you’ll get all the reward you need by doing it, and a sense of worth.
well done, the world needs more of ya x
