I think Matty’s right. Sky were the ruination of boxing in this country in a similar fashion.

why should I give my well earned cash to SKY tv, they are a load of t…o.ssers
when england won the ashes, it generated a massive public intrest, a bit part of this was because it was on c4, It would’t have got near the exposure it got to if it had been on SKY TV
there are reasons why the World Cup and European Championships are not on SKY sports
Hmmmm I guess you can put the same analogy to Prem football?
in a way, yes, you no longer get the saturday buz, games are switched to sunday or monday ect ect
imagine if we lost the highlights program too? no match of the day, its bad enough when it switches to ITV, least that is still free
plus, you could argue, sky have killed off the smaller clubs, sky tv paid mega bucks to the big teams, in the top leagues, this then having a roll on effect, players demanding more money, transfer values going through the roof
where people are willing to pay £30 a month for sky sports, yet complain about the extra £30 a month they are having to pay for energy and heating, bizare
Used to annoy me when our games were changed to a sunday and we were not even on sky, just done it to suit some other club and as for midweek games dont they realise that some people do have jobs and have to work and cant leave work early for the 2 hour tube journey across london just for a match !
Getting back to topic, the only good thing about cricket is the streakers and cheap beer :P

Just learnt today that ITV and BBC (who WE pay for) didnt even put a bid in for cricket. That is disgusting, and something should be done about that. That means ALL cricket will be on SKY until 2013 with channel 5 (bless em) showing highlights.
last day tomorrow to try and save some dignity. Im hoping for a big innings, but no doubt we’ll lose.
