Cremation for me..seen way too many zombie films for me to be buried. (After they have taken anything that they think can be useful of course).
Cremation for me I feel the cold so will be thankful to go and join my maker feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
My grandparents on my fathers side are buried in the same plot… she is on top of him so to speak… anyway at her graveside I couldn’t help but notice how much closer to the top she was than most people are buried.. I suppose coz she is on top of Grandad who was buried a year earlier… so at the wake I was sitting thinking about it.. and all the relatives were talking about Gran and her attributes and personality and I piped up…’ I can’t believe how shallow she was’ to which the room went silent and I was looked at like I had just farted…. I had to clarify I meant her grave! haha
Anyhow.. back to topic… I think that it’s all well and good being buried but as time passes and people who knew you die themselves your plot will just become messy and unloved so what is the point – not to mention I sometimes ‘visualise’ my grandparents in their plot which is not nice, as well as the practicality that if everyone was buried where would they put us all??
I want to be cremated and then I want someone to take my ashes and on a calm spring/summers day when the sun is shining and there is a slight breeze I want to be cast in a meadow where the butterflies are dancing (not in a direction to blow back into their face though… no one needs to eat me). Perfect.

buried at sea for me,the general concencus being we all originated from the sea
and plus it would be fitting for me after serving 7 years in the merchant navy.my mother in law bought me a plot for 3, when i gave her my word that she would go with her son and husband..never used to care. as my own family been cremated. But its like a monument of a life….i will use it as funerals are damm expensive,,and i worked with the lassie next door, to one day will be my final.. i clean her stone every week and add flowers,, as she has been forgotten about since her husband remarried..
I hope to feck i am never neglected like that ..but secretly know i wont.

And from what I’ve heard that last hole you were buried in really wasn’t that attractive.

if its the hole in which i think your refering too well that ship sailed a year ago
been a few holes since then

Cremation for me and my ashes bung’d in the river at the end of my garden – then whenever, whoever should wish to think of me, just gotta look at water, wherever, and a bit of me might be there! :D
I don’t know what I would want……………what about those that you love? Would you want them poured into a nice plastic urn or would you like somewhere where you could go, sit and reflect?
