If you raise your eyes heavenwards tonight you might catch a glimpse of the comet Lulin
Glowing green it will come within 38million miles of earth. Glowing green it could be visible any time after dark. Nasa says dark country skies will be required. Apparently this is Lulin’s first visit to the inner solar system. Surprises are possible.Oh Christ – I really wish you hadn’t posted that. Now all the conspitacy theorists and assorted other lunatics will be seeing little green men and imagining that aliens are landing in Area 51 (or wherever).
Can you please make it more clear in future that this is simply a comet, and not the approach of the end of the world.

In the post is states clearly that this is a comet – also it is posted in the serious category.

The last comet I saw was on Dec 24 & he was with 6 mates pulling some tubby guy in a red suit along in a flying sleigh! :lol: :wink:

I know it was Fi-Fi, and my reply was (almost) serious too. The fact is that every time a naturally occurring phenomenon happens (like a comet passing for example) all the bloody loonies come out of their darkened cellars, rush to the supermarkets and buy up all the corned beef.
You can almost guarantee that these events will provoke a whole series of amazing claims usually revolving around the subject of the coming Armageddon, or “global warming” or some similar fantasy.
Doncha just love conspiracy theorists and the weird assortment of single issue bigots.
