    Code 28
The drivers for this device are not installed.

    Recommended resolution

To install the drivers for this device, click Update Driver. This starts the
    Hardware Update Wizard.

What is the device? Didn’t you get a CD with the device?
Do a System Restore to a time when it was working OK.

Its a belkin wireless G USB network adapter

I have the router on me pc the adapters are on other puters in the house

I don’t know anything about wireless networks. If a System Restore on your
daughters pc has failed to resolve the problem, I’m at a loss.
I’d contact Belkin if I were you.

Sunny, do you know what type of router it is ? ie, model number ? you should be able to download driver off internet.

I did a search for Belkin Wireless G USB Network Adapter and got this page on the Belkin website to download the driver for XP:-

Not sure if it’s yours though.

If not, here is the main Belkin page for all drivers:-

    JMC

Could be the actualy device is not working, hence the reason why it doesnt do anything with it.

Try the device in another computer to see if that works or a different port in case the USB doesnt work. Ocassionally USB ports fail.
