– I was shocked by his appearance also. After watching the solemn and proper Rogge and the Chinese, this guy was nearly a hillbilly. As he left the stage, he again put one of his hands in his pocket. I hope the Brits either get him some education in etiquette or elect a new mayor prior to the 2012 Games.

– I thought that was Gary Busey…..and that’s not a good thing.

– That was pretty bad.You’d think he was mayor of some hick town in Alabama or something.

– I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come. London’s mayor walks down asle with jacket not buttoned and wide open with his beer gut hanging out. He waves when not appropriate. He quickly double steps up the stairs to the stage, leaving China’s leader far behind. Then he briefly puts both hands in his side jacket pockets. What a dork.

– He can’t even wave the flag properly, nor hand it off without doing something embarrassing.

– How could a city as large as London have someone like this for a mayor? A real slob. Hope the 2012 Olympics aren’t an embarrassment. Surely this guy was.
