Ronnie O’Sullivan…probably the most gifted player of all time.

I think it’s a toss up between him and Alex Higgins, God knows how good Higgins could have been if he hadn’t had a screw loose.

Thing is…what makes a great fight? There are many theories: the techniques of the day, the players of the day and the coaches of the day. Personally, i find a lot of things, especially sport; far too controlled. I suppose when one becomes that good at any thing, one has to be controlled because there comes a line where a lot of people(sports stars as well) lose track of what they are fighting for.

Nice one Reason…yeah..Alex Higgins was awesome. He was prepared to take shots no one was prepared to take and pulled a lot of them off. Snooker just doesn’t have that reckless arrogance any more. Problem is i find…if you score and it isn’t done by the book then it’s just lucky.

I played Basketball for my school only when they had no one else to stand in and we always won. Mostly because i saw the basket with my eyes closed and threw the ball from the half way line and scored. Miracles always happen when you believe in what you are doing.

Same in Snooker…if you don’t say…ok, i’m going for this ridiculously hard shot and get it people say it’s a fluke but if you say and then do it, every one claps and calls you a hero.

Lol brilliant, he was deffo a one off. So much for all the “experts” saying about running your cue through smooth and straight, keep your body and  head  still on the shot ……….. ffs he used to just about throw his body at lots of shots and go into orbit after he’d hit the cue ball.

Wayward genius is the best way of describing him.
