Citizen Not Subject!

I don’t confuse anything!

dont know what your all shyting on about you are a subject, I clearly remember doing English in school.

Well, I’m not going to say too much on this one (I’m sure you’ll be glad to know lol), as I’m not a citizen / subject / living – working – paying tax there Britishy / United Kingdomy / Commonwealthy kinda persony person as it were (gasp.. wheeze)..
BUT.. One would think at the very least the electorate should be granted an opportunity to engage in and come to a decision on such a debate?
No?
Or would a referendum be a waste of time and money?

I don’tlike the term ‘pack’ – it’s too uniform, too conforming.

A lot of peeps love to conform..a lot love to lead packs of conformers, and a lot love to be led..but many of us don’t.

We also belong to several groups, usually at the same time – churches, societies, families, pubs and clubs, chatgroups (I prefer group to pack) and political/economic groups.

Hereditary monarchy is quite rare now, and where it does exist it’s almost entirely ceremonial. Replacing the ceremony wiht a more republican ceremony strikes me as a waste of time..not worth thinking about…an 18th century battlecry, when monarchy had some degree of power (and it was fading even then – Britain was called ‘a crowned republic’ in 1720 – a country of fractious citizens proud of their liberty with a constituional king – very different from the despotisms in Europe and Asia at the time. Now we have republican despotisms like China and Iran; and plutocratic republics like the USA, where hundreds of millions of dollars spent by a few in return for favours buy an election.

We have more pressing problems…
