That was tough on Dundee United I thought, but it goes back to the saying ‘Better to be lucky than good’ Rangers weren’t the better team on the day, but we got the breaks at the right time. Shows that there’s a good spirit in the squad and that’s something that can’t be overlooked.
Very happy 8)
Now all we need is Sword or R.O.T.T with a bit of predictability and this will really feel like a thread about Scottish football (Rangers in particular)
16 March, 2008 at 7:11 pm #318214Thought it was Utd’s day, but alas…
Did you clock those Rangers players? Going on like a little kid at Xmas over the CIS Cup.
Show’s how long it’s been since any silverware graced Ibrox.16 March, 2008 at 7:18 pm #318215Ah, the ‘It’s only the CIS Cup’ remark. Loosely translated means ‘Wish we had won it, at least they know they won’t finish the season empty handed’
Have to admit though, when they scored all I could think about was 2003. Celtic were gunning for glory on four fronts and won nothing. Felt like that was the moment this whole season turned on its head for Rangers.
16 March, 2008 at 9:48 pm #318216the first piece of silverwear for 3yrs…!!! brilliant Cup Final, on the edge of the seat, Dundee first goal flookie as…. very scrappy but it counts, they should of had a pentality also, but is was Boyd’s game 2day, fab he was…. must admit when DUtd scored in xtra time thought that was it…. but then again… Boyd again… stormer… then the ohh i canny watch the penality shoot out lol it was Boyds n Allan McGregor day….
17 March, 2008 at 2:07 pm #318217I was bricking it when Cuellar made that challenge! Thought the referee had a bit of a shocker for both teams but it’s just nice to win something. It shows that Smith has to play a 442 cos that 451 is the bloody worst!
17 March, 2008 at 3:05 pm #318218I missed it. I was listening to the golf on the radio.
17 March, 2008 at 3:57 pm #318219Sounds more interesting than the first half anyway
18 March, 2008 at 12:58 am #31822018 March, 2008 at 10:40 pm #318221Blo/ody Scottish Cup gone as well now.
18 March, 2008 at 10:46 pm #318222Yep, I’ve got a few mates at work who are all Celtic fans and were bragging about how they’d win the treble this season and make great strides in Europe. I’ve got a feeling that the general opinion now would be ‘Well it’s the league that matters anyway. You’re welcome to the rest’
What a difference a day makes
