A very good friend on mine gave me a book called “Do Bats have bollocks???”
I promise this isn’t a wind up. It is a real book full of strange questions that you never thought of asking – and the answers. Absolutely fascinating reading – I managed at least 30 minutes before I dozed off, after a heavy Christmas lunch and the Queen’s speech.
For example ….. “How do Polar explorers go to the toilet?” ( pretty quickly !!!)
“Why is it that, after many years of ridicule, there are still so many spelling mistakes in The Guardian?” (Equal opportunities – they employ dyslexic proof readers)
“What is the opposite of ‘opposite’ ??”
“Why do Americans call sausages-in- roll hotdogs?”
“What do blind people see in their dreams?”
“Why are great lesbian writers not just called great writers?”
….. and my favourite one –
“If I fell down a disused mineshaft, would Lassie really run and get help, or just sit there licking his balls?” (Lassie, being a female dog, doesn’t have balls to lick – so she’d run off to get help. BTW – Never go walkies with a male dog.)

I got lots of nice body sprays which I always like to get.
I also got Ross Kemp on gangs which I,ve read already and I,ll read again. Brilliant book.
I got some ghostie books as well.
Had a toaster from mum and dad and some lovely terracotta soup bowls from my brother.
My youngest son brought me a cross and chain which I,ve got on and probably won,t take off now.

I think I must have been a v good girl this year. I got…
new tv, ipod, mobile, digi photo frame, x3 bottles of perfume, a ring, 2 watches, lots of smelly stuff, some clothes, 5 pairs of slippers lol, countless pairs of socks :p, sweets, concert tickets and heaps more stuff I cant even remember. :lol:
