A nine-year-old Chinese schoolgirl has become one of the world’s youngest mothers after giving birth to a healthy boy.
The unnamed girl was brought to a hospital in Changchun, which lies in the north-east of the country, when she was eight and a half months pregnant.
Two days later, she gave birth to the 6lb boy by Caesarean section, a Chinese newspaper has reported.The girl, nine, who apparently gave birth to a healthy baby boy is said to come from the town of Songyuan (pictured) in north-east China. Her family refuse to discuss the pregnancy, but say they have reported it to the police
Last night police were reportedly trying to establish who the father is.In the province, sex with a child under the age of 14 brings an automatic rape conviction and a lengthy jail sentence.
A legal expert told the paper that women under the age of 14 do not have sexual rights – ‘so any argument of being consensual as a defence is completely untenable,’ he said.
He added: ‘Anyone who had sexual relations with a girl under 14 means they have committed rape and is to be punished severely.’
A hospital in China’s largest city, Shanghai, recently said that about 30 per cent of abortions were on school-aged girls.She’s just a kid fgs. Your veiws?
Its all so very wrong. Children should be able to be just that…..children.
I would find it very hard to believe that at the age of 9 she consented to sex and even if she was talked round to it by someone there is no way she probably knew what she was consenting to…let alone the consequences of a possible pregnancy as the outcome. Coaxing a child into having sex in my eyes is the same as raping them. I hope they find the scum!

I misunderstood the thread title – I thought at first that the baby was 9 when it was born – not the mother. They’re damned clever these Chinese & might have found a way to extend the human gestation period to reduce the number of births.
Blimey she is an early developer, thats mighty young to be ABLE to concieve and terrible, shes a mere child herself, very sad that
its called precocious menarche or something.. and its happening more and more frequently because of little ones being overweight, and possibly because of oestrogens in our food sources and the packaging used in supermarkets. Its the same reason infertility is becoming such a problem amongst men.
And she may be physically capable of getting pregnant, but the fact she had to have a caesarian indicates her body was not capable of letting her deliver a baby naturally.
I repeat.. its all so wrong, so terribly wrong.
