Kids are kids always have been
Poorly behaving children are a product of bad parenting.
Bit of a generalisation there….not like you to back it up without statistics and a 3 page essay….
Naughty kids are not always the product of bad parenting.

An example of something that would cause a child to misbehave that couldn’t be solved by proper parenting, perhaps?

I can’t really think of very much other than medical conditions such as Tourettes, which I wouldn’t really describe as naughty behaviour as they genuinely have no control over it.
12 January, 2017 at 6:41 pm #1019625Well where do we start …. Kids arent taught respect anymore.
Parents aren’t allowed to give their kids a clip upside the ear for bad behavour. I think most of us here were brought up when that was the case. Teachers ,policemen infact people in general wouldn’t get spoken too like they are by some kids.
I said shyte once as a kid as I had heard it somewhere & got to taste the fairy soap … I bet I wasn’t the only kid of the late 60’s that happened too either lol .
The you can’t touch me brigade& the my little Jimmy wouldn’t do that lot have sent the world mad.
I could stereotype but I dont fancy being lynched here thanks. I DO think the parents of some kids do have a lot to answer for.
I spent 11 years working as a childrens nanny & the worse behaved kids I ever looked after we the off spring of a Lord & Lady who thought little Billie biting my calf in temper was showing spirit the little shyte.
My own son bit once … never again . I won’t tolerate it.
Another difference is some like to give kids labels.
As a parent you have a responsibilty to bring your kids up NOT drag them up thinking the world owes them something & to treat others nicely.
12 January, 2017 at 6:52 pm #1019629The old saying “spare the rod and spoil the child” come to mind !
I personally think that the demise of the old national service was the beginning of the end (not that I went in to the national service) – bring back conscription !!
If/when we have kids – we shall instruct the nanny to horsewhip the child, cold showers before breakfast ! (That is a joke btw !!)
12 January, 2017 at 7:06 pm #1019632Actually .. I have just noticed Mr Kart used the C word ….
& he talks of respect …. Perhaps if it was shown it would be recieved
12 January, 2017 at 7:54 pm #1019633What age do people mean by ‘kids’?
I’m not sure Mr Kart was talking about those in single figures. At my age, I still refer to people in their early twenties as kids….

Depends what age group you’re talking about and what you class as misbehaving.
