A PERVERT who downloaded thousands of child porn pictures knocked on doors as a Lib Dem council candidate.
Karl Lindon, 26, was jailed for three years after police found 2,500 indecent images of children on his computer.
He shared the images with a ring of 47 online paedophiles.
Residents say they’re upset he campaigned in their streets. Jean Bartlett, chairwoman of the Aylesbury Estate’s tenants’ and residents’ association, said: “I’m horrified. I let him into my home.Lots of people are going to be very upset about this. “We trust these people and they campaign on our estates.”
Lindon campaigned across London as Lib Dem spokesman on gay and lesbian issues.
He was also a director of Beyond Ego Ltd that hosts websites, including that of Bermondsey and North Southwark MP Simon Hughes.
One Southwark Lib Dem party member said: “Clearly this man is a sicko who deceived people.” Lindon admitted one charge of making indecent images of children and 18 of distributing indecent images of children and was jailed on May 8.
City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court also ordered him to pay £1,500 costs.He was given a sexual offender prevention order and put on the sex offenders’ register for life.

I hear electric shock therapy is pretty effective at curing paedos of their desires for child sex……at 50,000 volts, that is!!
