He dived at spurs today, then laughed about it.
Was the most hated footballer in England last summer, he somehow managed to wriggle his way out of it, now he’s back!
No need for tv replay’s then :roll:
4 February, 2007 at 11:58 pm #258992He’s hardly the only person to take a dive when he think’s he can get away with it.

Berbatov didn’t try to cheat the referee for a penalty then, no? That was by far the worst dive out of the 2, but because it is Ronaldo, that everyone will point a finger at him rather than another player playing for the opposite team. What about when every player who makes a meal out of the little tiny things just to get a free-kick? At the end of the day, diving is diving, regardless of where it is on the pitch. Every player does it and every player is at fault for it, whether you are in the penalty box, or not.

Agreed Emma, the guy just can’t help but cheat, such a shame for a player with such talent… but he plays for a side desperate to beat the Chels to at least one trophy this season so I’m sure his manager finds it all very acceptable. They’ll still have nothing come the season end, even with the 9 points per season earned by Ronaldo falling on his arse like he’s been shot.
Yep, he is even beating Drogba at diving this year!!

Every player caught diving should be punished with a ten game ban. I didn’t see the berbatov one. Should ronaldo be punished for his cheating behaviour?

Ask yourself Shazza, why is Drogba the best striker in the Prem this year?
Its not hard………. he just learnt that he scores more by staying on his feet :wink:
6 February, 2007 at 12:32 am #258997Shame you couldnt rely on the Spurs helping you out at the weekend though……..
Never trust them……….. they are only in it for a laugh I swear! The times either Arsenal or Chelsea have needed a result from them………… :shock:
6 February, 2007 at 1:04 am #258998you need reliance on united to c0ck up
6 February, 2007 at 3:06 pm #258999Ronaldo has scored 15 this season…equal to drogba?
bear in mind that ronaldo is a midfielder (supposedly)
surely its a bad sign against most teams when a midfileder is scoring more than any striker in the league
Geoff!!! we havent got on the greatest but i do admire your confidence in your team, and your support too
i noticed a few chelsea bashing threads about mourinho and you never got dragged in.
However, my money ison man utd to win the league im afraid, they look too strong.
my team will be lucky to get a uefa spot this season, so i cant talk about title challenging but seriously geoff do you honestly believe that Man Utd will drop those points and Chelsea will win the league?

A quick look here tells me that Drogba has scored 10 more league goals than Ronaldo;

Drogba is also in the mid twenties for goals all season. But a midfielder being topscorer is no shame. Frank Lampard top scored for last seasons Prem champs.
I’m absolutely convinced we will win the league for the treble. Man Utd have to go to Anfield, Emirates and the Bridge still, we still have to go to the Emirates. This season isn’t even close to being a foregone conclusion. I’d put your money on a Chelsea championship, and the way the draws have been going in the FA and European Cups I wouldn’t bet against us on either of those, with the League Cup final soon to come.
There is no point in getting involved in media hyped threads, they soon blow over and now Chelsea are on a three win bounce with no goals conceded. Cech back, Terry back, it’s all doom and gloom for the mighty Chels!
Footnote: That goalscoring chart doesn’t seem to be correct.
This ones up to date;
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/top_scorers/default.stmwe’ve already been to ar senals ground.. lost 2-1
