CHAT GUIDES

I’m posting on this thread as Cosy has asked my opinion on this subject.

I’m not really interested in the guides Cosy, apart from 1 or 2 :ie NS and LD, none of them seem to have any personality. LE, I have seen to be totally ineffectual, and when she does FINALLY take some action, she has normally got the wrong end of the stick and makes things worse. However, I take on board that a lot of the time their hands are tied. From what Ive heard it is nigh on impossible to ban anyone for any length of time, as a new I.P. can be obtained within minutes. As nobody can tell if their is a guide in lurking or not I really couldn’t say whether they are watching the room anymore than lots and lots of other people do. It would seem there are a certain group of people who tend to get into arguments more than any others or like to wind others up, claire, moonshadow, nita, kazzie, loony, etc etc and of course Joker. Moonshadow gets her fair share of reprimands, the others are less honest and get away with more. Are any of these people friends of the Guides ? Doubt it.
at the end of the day I’m sure most chatters are pleased to have a guide come in when it kicks off or you get an idiot scoller is in, but as I said earlier, most really don’t make a blip on my radar.

And for the record I never snoop. I don’t ask questions or befriend people for info.

It has been whispered that since Rose LD has started having input to the recruitment of guides, things have changed. She “hires” her “friends”. Take a look at all the guides and you will see this to be correct. She does sometimes fire the odd “friend”, a prime example is Brighty. Brighty felt quite hurt and has backstabbed Rose to many chatters. She was a bad guide to be fair. Was not able to be guide and chat at different times. This stands for most of the guides except Diamond Destiny, she comes across fair.
What do they do Rogue? Obviously not enough. Otherwise the rooms would be a pleasant place to chat. All this about not being able to be there 24 hours a day. Why not? There are enough of them. Why don’t they stick to their shifts? Surely they are allocated time slots. They aren’t paid I hear them cry. So don’t do guiding if its an issue of not being paid. You apply knowing there are no wages. Simple.
