Just wonder if anyone has an opinion on the programme shown on Channel Five tonight called Guys and Dolls? These guys are paying £4000 for dolls rather than try and form a real relationship.
Sad or sick, what do you think? Personally I found it rather creepy and distrurbing, but thats just my opinion.
18 September, 2006 at 11:00 pm #241947I didn’t see it spacechick, but I did see the run up to it……………..Far as I can see, what they do in thier own homes in thier own business,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,whatever floats yer boat I spose,,,,,,,,,at least there’ye not out on the streets, molesting some poor un-suspecting woman merely going about her daily business.
18 September, 2006 at 11:02 pm #241948Ewww….I couldn’t bear to watch it, but I read a magazine article about one of the guys featured in it and it did freak me out.
The guy in question has 5 dolls, and even got married to one of them
He even takes them out for drives in the car and tells the people at work that he has sex with the dolls
18 September, 2006 at 11:06 pm #241949Its certainly true to say that what they do in their own homes is their own business. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t disapprove as such. I just think that the money spent on the dolls would be better spent on a psychologist.
The other thing I am wondering about is why not keep private business private, why go on TV to tell everyone you are so inept with women that you cannot sustain a relationship? Reminds me a bit of the programme about ‘animal love’ that was on last year. Should we be letting it all hang out to such a degree? Just interested in other people’s opinions.

Awww i agreed with you all the way up to your last statement!
they prefer dolls to women, same way women often prefer a vibrator to a man
it does not mean in any way that they are sex offenders if anything they are probably more safe around women as they prefer dolls to real people anyway.
granted some go too far with the whole marrying of them! and going on dates and stuff but i suppose its no nagging or anything is it? maybe a doll can satisfy the men better than any woman can?
i still wouldnt accuse them off potentially molesting innocent people in the streets

Who are we to judge them? Animals I don’t agree with, however many times the people that do that say the animals wouldn’t do it if they didn’t like it. However we digress back to the subject in hand. Taking it on TV has probably meant that these men are brave enough to share their lifestyle, to mock what we don’t understand is often the way in life.
19 September, 2006 at 8:21 am #241953Well for me i wouldnt do it and its strange to me as its not something i do lol. But each to their own if we were all the same this world would be boring. If they enjoy it then thats cool. I did read about a man who “married” his doll that is a bit OTT but again each to their own :D
19 September, 2006 at 9:03 am #241954Theres nothing wrong with it , the dolls are obviously a lot more beautiful then JC ladies – and probably more animated in bed too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
19 September, 2006 at 10:03 am #241955Well I watched the entire programme with an awful fascination. I particularly loved the Virginian gun nut who had a fearsome collection of firearms and a huge broadsword. He seemed to spend his every free moment with his doll, doing what came naturally to him. Scary guy huh?
Interestingly enough several of the guys were internet users – I wonder if they used chatrooms and even if any of them might be JustChat users??? Anybody want to confess here …. in strictest confidence of course.
At the end of the day using a lifelike doll to drain yourself of your vital bodily juices seems to be a lot more fun that having to rely on an indistinct or blurred fantasy memory of your ideal partner whilst you play the pink oboe. Oh and they never get headaches or complain about men coming first etc etc.
BTW – did you know that they also make male dolls for the discerning female (or gay male). Apparently they have much greater staying power that the real thing and are always ”up for it”!
