Poli with all due respect I do know what the thread is about and I don’t think there was any ambiguity in Panda’s posting.

Well whatever, my post wasn’t getting at the posters for being starstruck anyway and i took pandas the same way mine was meant as a generalization as opposed to a dig at anyone, but is she was thats up to you and her, i’ll mind my own in future

    OK I’m confused.
The opening post asked if anyone else had stories of chance encounters with famous people.
I replied with some of mine.
Panda said that she wasn’t into the I saw a celebrity thing and couldn’t understand why people got starstruck.
I said that I wasn’t starstruck (as did Mrs T), in fact most of the time didn’t even know who these people were.

I didn’t see what Panda said as a dig at me or anyone else, simply a statement that she didn’t understand it…no ambiguity there. To a large degree I agree with her, the whole celeb culture leaves me cold and since I don’t read the magazines that they do or watch TV, I’m forever asking my friends who are into the celeb culture who on earth they’re talking about. Generally when do I see a famous person I don’t realise until after the event then am struck by just how normal they were (apart from Danni Minogue!).

There’s no discord between me and Panda as far as I’m concerned…or am I missing something? :?

Actually I had a lovely chance encounter at Heathrow with Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing in Dallas) He was at the perfume counter……and I have to own up to maneuvering myself to standing next to him in the queue…… so maybe I am….

    ****Starstruck*****

He was lovely by the way :D

I have had a few chance meetings with well known people but more significantly chance meetings with normal people who have made a difference in my life in one way or another

    Nice one Mrs T!

I remember crying when Bobby died in DALLAS..
(I was quite the sensitive teen  Twilight had nothing on me for angst!)

Mind you, I cried even more when he returned the following year.
    That was just embarrassing.
