I wouldn’t say I’m starstruck at all, the fact that I don’t even know who most of these people are says it all…they’re people, no more, no less. If anything, when I’ve met “famous” people I’ve generally been struck by how normal and nondescript they’ve been.

Apart from Danni Mynogue…I was at a health farm and we were asked not to bother the celebrities as they were there just to relax, just the same as us. I wouldn’t have had a clue who she was if she hadn’t been teetering around in impossibly high heels, wearing sunglasses that were bigger than the tiny skirt she was wearing and enough makeup to keep 5 women going for a month, surrounded by 6 burly bodyguards…definitely not normal!

Dunno if panda meant it like that jen jen, this thread is just telling some tales of meeting celebs, as opposed to anyone being starstruck, but many people are and do get star struck and obsessed by celebs, personally i cant see why they are normal people, even if oddly surrounded with body guards lol they still eat sleep and sh** like the rest of us, but yes their lifestyle perhaps isnt that normal.

Poli with all due respect I do know what the thread is about and I don’t think there was any ambiguity in Panda’s posting.

I agree Jen….. I met loads of celebs… too many to mention here…. nicest person was Frank Bruno…. not so nice Phillip Schofield.

Nicest person I’ve met (after Mervyn Davies) – a toss up between Vinnie Jones and Ruby Turner.
Not so nice – a toss up between Michelle Collins and Colin Fry.

For me it is Bryan Ferry – I didn’t recognise him in a bar at an airport, so he bought me a drink!

Sorry, not into all this “I saw a celebrity” nonsense. Can’t understand ppl who get star struck.

I like totally agree.. Although I did see my reflection in a mirror one day and was mighty impressed 8)

I guess you get your fair share of “Wows” etc when you’re out n about huh?
Y’know.. What with you being a Panda n all?

I disguise myself in public Pepper by wearing dark glasses 8)

I’m not one to use my fame to my advantage to get ppl to pander to my needs. I dont like a big fuss so I usually get the furrier to come to my home when I need a new outfit as I am rather shy and modest and I simply abhor diva behaviour in the rich and famous. :P

A Panda who doesn’t tolerate pandering.
    Impressive 8)
As for the whole “furrier” gig.. Well.. I’ll take your word on that one .. Erm.. Very 1970s

Still.. Admirable modesty on your part.. But what if Simon Cowell came calling? What then?

Cowbell is just a small fish in a big pond. I’m too big a star for him. :P

I saw Arthur Mullard as I walked down Charing Cross..

also Kenneth Williams stood beside me at a bus stop in Tottenham Court Road..we both studiously ignored each other.

only Barbara Windsor to ignore, then

I wd like to be star struck, but they ignore me so I ignore them..huh..
