Not a good result for Celtic but I reckon their hopes are still alive. They still have to play Benfica and Donetsk at home, and you’ve got to fancy their chances of six points there. Milan away will be a tough one but I think they can take something from it.

It’d be good to see both Old Firm sides in the next stage, imagine if they were drawn against each other!

After watching Rangers whoop celtics ass on saturday, I don’t think they’ll be coming back, they must be gutted 8)

That game on Saturday was brilliant and made me think about all the ‘We signed Scott Brown so neh-neh’ stuff I’ve read in the papers. Give me a grafter like McCulloch any day!

The saying ‘You need to win your home games’ couldn’t be more true for Celtic, three wins at home might well be enough but a point or three on the road allows a bit of breathing space. I remember Newcastle a few years ago losing their first three games and still going through but they are vulnerable right now (morale can’t be good either but that should never be used as an excuse) Just so long as the Gers go through, that’s really all that counts.

I’d like to think we’ll win our two home games. Very much doubt we’ll get anything in Milan.

Rangers could have it tough as well. Two away games next. Barcelona and Stuggart. If they dont take anything if those games, then it could come down to a make or break game against Lyon at home.
Lyon are still a bloody good team, and they’ll still fancy their chances of coming back into the reckoning for qualification.

It’s a tough tournament. Look at Liverpool. I’d have tippped them as potential winners again, but they’re gonna truly struggle to even get out of their Group now.

I think Rangers would be quite happy to go to Barcelona and look for a draw then focus on at least four points from Stuttgart and Lyon. If we have Hemdani back for the Nou Camp then anything is possible, a win is very doubtful but I thought that about Lyon. But as you said BM, you can’t rule them out either. I bet a lot of people also fancied Liverpool as at least finalists. I bet a lot of people thought Rangers would be whipping boys but so far they’ve conceded only one goal in three tough games. Don’t count anyone out!

Celtic have an uphill task, no doubt about that and I do think they’ll have to rely strongly on other results going their way. But Strachan has to look at that defence for the transfer window especially if they progress.

When a superstar like Messi throws his toys out of the pram because his side didn’t do enough to beat an SPL team then you’re doing something right. If Rangers had played an open game they’d have probably been ripped apart. I like attacking football, goals etc. But at the same time, I’m just as happy to see my team do what they have to do.

Good result for Arsenal too, they’re looking good without Henry.
