Someone bought me a big Cadbury Flake theme egg (you can get Mars, Snickers, Milky Way…) from Tesco.

I was amazed at the amount of packaging!

The egg was wrapped in coloured foil, placed in a plastic container (also housing a pack of 3 wrapped flakes) and all wrapped in themed cardboard.

These supermarkets bang on about being green.

    . . . when it suits them!

Of course selling these eggs really brings home the bacon for the retailers.
The daft customers end up paying three times as much for the chocolate . . . I’ve also seen Simpsons and other TV-show themed eggs.

    “Happy Eater”.

    You’ll be taxed for it.

Cadbury have responded to demand, claiming to save 2000 trees, see here.

It’s come full circle .. . Jesus died on a tree to save man, now man goes without packaging to save trees!

This whole global warming is (in my opinion) blown out of proportion to make money for governements. This world has gone through many evolutions over it’s millions of years and it is currently having another one. The current greedy world doesn’t help it, but it is another fear factor bred into people by Governments. Instil fear and once you are there tax people to the hilt. Governments blame everyone but themselves for big energy contracts, we just vote for them, they do the rest… who is to blame?
