Just when I woke up having the worst hang over ever thinking that there’s no reason to live, I decide to take a deep breath and try to think that there must be still something out there for me. Beatty..none of us really know what goes on in each others’ lives..and it’s obvious you are deeply unhappy. Whatever dark miseries lie beneath your surface..the above water topic of being dumped..CAN seem trivial..and I’m sure if you step back a little you can understand Ruby’s frustration. Pats..Ruby doesn’t think she has a monopoly on misery..it’s just that she..like me..and I’m sure ..yourself..has lived through the daily fears and dreads and very real calamities that befall so many of us. Life is tough Beatty..it throws shit at us all. Ruby was widowed young..can you imagine her despair.?I’ve lived with tragedy all my life Beatty and when I was your age I often thought of killing myself because life was so unfair and cruel. But there are so many wonderful reasons for living..and truly..without patronising you Beatty…with age..comes appreciation and joy to offset the bad times. You will love and lose many times in life..and one day will love forever. All possibilities lie ahead of you Beatty…having just started out on your journey..and remember..only through suffering can we understand what happiness really is. Find contentment Beatty.
well if rubes had phrased it like u esme i wouldnt have posted. like you said..beatty is a kid still…to her at this moment in time.being dumped is the end of her world. and yes i have lived through tragedy but can still sympathise with beatty.

well aint I lucky to have you to know it all… 8) :roll: if I remember right, before I told everyone my age you thought I was like 35 :-k ..but hey, atleast I know my place now.
when will you start believing me that my life is really difficult right now and it’s not just because of the break up…the lates one of them, I’ve been dumped before (ofcourse this time is different, but every break up is different) I’ll live, I’m just not so sure that it’s for the best… :?
maybe I should try to talk the same language with you and talk Robbie to make you understand: “I don’t want to die, but I aint keen on living eather!”
Beatty, I really hope you will start to feel a bit brighter soon. Dont mind the grown ups lol!! its just they have been there, done it, got the tee shirt, but they forget the deep physical hurt of what you are going through and the fact that you really do feel that life is over, its the worst pain in the world :(
We’d all do well to respect everybodies feelings at all times and not just when it suits us.
Life is full of s hit, and sometimes you get more than your fair share. A little sympathy rather than criticism goes a long way :)

I don’t doubt for a minute that your life is difficult right now Beatty..and you don’t want to be patronised by old farts like me. There’s a line from an old song that sums up how many of us feel in our lives..”I’m tired of living and scared of dying..but old man river..he just keeps rolling along..” Please don’t ever give up on your life Beatty..is there no-one you can talk to..a counsellor or a friend..who will take the time to listen? I envy you your youth and future Beatty..but I have never forgotten the pain and anguish I endured when I was your age and I can empathise with you . Right now..I have my own demons to battle. I wish you well with yours.
