    Haha

Im not sure about their feet but the eldest son had bright ginger hair…seemed a bit odd as none of the others did.

Its a sad tale of the mothers death and the fathers inability to cope which ended up with the children losing both parents.

Maybe not something to read before bed so i will post it in our time tonight.

I could always leave that one and tell you about mrs blowit lol

Mrs blowit and that garden shed…

The blowits were a very friendly couple who had lived in the street for many years…mr blowit was a railwayman through and through, what he didnt know about class 45 couplings wasnt worth knowing.
Mr blowit was a shortish man and quite slim but he was as strong as an ox and had hands like shovels.sunday mornings he was always outside doing some d.i.y be it on the roof or fixing guttering…but his main love was the garden shed he built at the bottom of the garden.

I had visited the shed a couple of times over the years as most in the street had…inside was the most amazing collection of model trains all meticulously lined up in order of age. Also there was a small bar and sofa and in the corner a jukebox which was usually full of rock n roll records. After an hour in the shed you came out an expert in eddie cochrane and deltic main line runnings on the east coast.

About ten years back mr blowit was diagnosed with cancer and although he fought the disease bravely he finally succumbed to the illness just after christmas.

Mrs blowit was always the quiet one of the two…usually seen in the kitchen cutting up vegetables and making giant pots of stew or soups.the man dominated the house and where they went for holidays and how they spent their money. Mrs blowit was always in tow with the children smiling.

After the funeral which i did attend we never saw mrs blowit for a while…until one friday evening when i was at the local pub with a friend.half way through the evening i saw one of the blowits daughters with another older woman who was made up and dressed like a dogs dinner.

Totally shocked the older woman was mrs blowit…she had the lowest cut top you could ever imagine and hair by mad meg..anyway we said hello and it was one of the first times i had actually had a conversation with her.

As times past mrs blowit was seen about the town with an assortment of different men..mostly brazilians. She was completely transformed from the blowit of yesteryear and was starting to live up to her name so the rumours said.

We even heard stories about the goings on in the garden shed…the light would be on well in to the night and a head seen moving up and down lol

I never saw her again for a couple of years but when i did she was a frail old lady looking hunchbacked and drawn…her oldest son had moved back in with her and he told me she was very ill.she passed away this year after a three month stay in hospital.

I looked out sometimes at the old garden shed which was still there…mostly weeds and rust covered now and thought about the past and the blowits.

A new family moved in not so long ago and one of the first things they done was to knock the shed down. I remember seeing the panels being loaded on to a truck…i watched and smiled.

Awwww….Poor Mrs Blowit! A lifetime of dedication and sacrifice for her family, only for her man to die away :(

Did Mrs Blowit have any passions or hobbies?
You mentioned Mr Blowits fancy train collection and his little hideaway shed, but nothing about Mrs Blowit’s passions or what she did to take a break from the tiresome role of being a homemaker.

Why do you think these women turned to other men or choose these particular ‘loose’ lifestyles? :?

As for the cornfoot ginger kid… well…. we can both guess where that one will lead haha

I actually laughed out loud at ” the cornfoot ginger kid” haha.

You ask some interesting questions that i honestly dont know the answers too tbh.

I never knew mrs blowit well enough to know about her hobbies outside of cooking or what her private passions were….i guess it was a sense of duty that kept her by the kitchen sink.

I know my dad was the dominant one and my mum just seemed to spend her life cooking and cleaning etc. when he died about 15 years ago she seemed to change and in some ways rebel against everything my dad stood for. It was like she was saying to him now your gone i will do all the things i really wanted to do in llife and you cant stop me.

I know for sure if she could turn the clocks back she would of lived life differently..which is a shame. I hope not too differently as i wouldnt of been here lol.

I have to make the effort to go to work i feel now.

Ps…the shufflebottoms have a visitor but im not sure who.

    :o :o :o OMG OMG I bet it’s her potential future lover….
She was hanging her intimates out on the line the other day, right?
She could be washing away the evidence!!!
    Find out who it was!

Wasnt feeling well enough for work lol

Mrs shufflebottom was chairwoman of the knitting circle for twenty years i dont think she would be capable of such things.

Maybe that sack she was loading in the boot last night wasnt two dozen homemade blueberry muffins for the womens institute meeting today.

She is currently scrubbing what looks like a large red wine stain out of the lounge carpet
