I would like to remove this from the bar but i’ve no idea how. I have a feeling it is a virus – one which turned off my virus checker. (Or something else did as it has been a right mare dealing with viruses) I am getting majorly pi5sed off with it. I downloaded Avast and cleaned up my computer in the vain hope it would have gone – no such luck.
McAfee is now working thankfully.
Thank you thank you 8)
11 October, 2008 at 8:18 am #380539What happens when you click on the box to close it? Does it take you to another page asking you to install something? If you have what’s it called?
11 October, 2008 at 10:10 am #380540I had something similar, you need the name of the so called software, then you can google methods of deleting it.
they are false protections that pop up to make you buy the software, the swines.
11 October, 2008 at 10:26 am #380541if i have the name of it, I’ll have the removal tool for it. I have loads of removal tools (wish i had one for men :P ) is it spyaxe by any chance?
11 October, 2008 at 10:46 am #380542try combo fix, or somthing like that, though these programs, becarefull what it asks you to remove, they can be a bit complicated sometimes and may need somone else to tell you what its safe to delete and keep

11 October, 2008 at 11:54 am #380544Ok so last night i used Avast and it cleaned about ten trojans off my comp. It was still there this morning.
This morning i used the now enabled McAfee (Thanks Avast!) to scan the comp (Again) and it found three more viruses. I have just logged on and touch wood… it has not reappeared. Thanks tho for all your help.
BTW yes it did want me to intall something but i didn’t. Then after Avast went thru the comp a black box with something like Win32 came up. I guess there was a battle against good and evil somewhere along the line…
11 October, 2008 at 2:14 pm #380545so problem solved, now a bottle a wine is in order, just don’t spill it in your car

If you had ten Trojan’s on your comp ya gotta get some protection to make sure they dont get there in the 1st place.
11 October, 2008 at 3:41 pm #380547Rainy I,d recomend two things. Firstly, get rid of McAfee, it,s a load of shyte. Lets face it, if you had 10 trojans on your pc it can,t be very good can it?
Secondly, install this. It updates regularly throughout the day. I would highly recomend it.
