Did you know that the Mc pre-fix denotes SON OF? This means that in McCloud one would be the son of McCloud.

McCallan would be the same, but Callan would mean the illegitimate son or daughter of McCallan.

wtf am i doing up at this time…. ok, quickly: if Mc means ‘son of’ then McCloud means son of Cloud, so if the parents are called Cyril and Doris would the son of cloud be called Cirrus?

it’s ‘McLeod’ btw which would mean son of Leod and i don’t know what a Leod is or was? I can certainly wait until tomorrow to find out! Nite peco and all!
