I can’t get my scroll bar thingy (on vertical right hand side of screen) to work.
I was having problems downloading and playing a game so was told by their technical department I needed a new graphics card. Went to PC world who looked up the part etc etc got it home, followed the instructions which said to remove my current graphics card from add/remove programmes, put new card in but it wouldnt fit as was the wrong part (!!). Did restore systems – didnt work (think it was cos my graphics was integrated). Anyways I now can play my game but for some reason my scoll bar thingy doesnt work properly and you dont know how much you use it until it broke! I want to mend my scroll bar but not lose being able to play my game. Any help?? in easy to follow instructions please x
Hiya Cat. Assuming that this only occurs with Internet Explorer, you could try opening IE
click on tools >>> internet options >>> advanced tab >>>>then click restore defaults.This ought to restore IE back to its original settings (including displaying the scroll bar).
I suspect that this behaviour (of IE) is caused by the game you were playing re-sizing the page and “hiding” the scrollbar.
Let us know if this fixes your issue.

Is it the microsoft office scrollbar like off of windows 2000 (home/office/custom all different colours for each set mode?
If so I am going to get shot down here but can’t you drag it from the bottom of the screen or to the side so it’s less in the way!
I’ve typed this and not looked at the original post fully (memory blank) wasn’t it conflicting with the graphics of a game ???

:lol: :lol: well i broke it (and don’t know how) and I didn’t understand a word of what you were on about but you will be pleased to know it’s now fixed. errrrrr still don’t know what was wrong or how it was mended but it cost me $29.95 on a site called driver dectective which was recommended by PC World. But thank you for trying xx
