I promised myself when I was awoken at 7.30 this morning that I would go to bed before midnight tonight (or last night!).

Ive said the same thing all week.

What promises have you broken either to yourself or others?

I also promised that I would start on the ironing mountain today but never.

One promise I DID manage to meet was tidying youngest’s room, I did that yesterday. He didnt know, so when he came home from his day out at a friends I said “being as you have been out all day, get up stairs and do your room, its a disgrace”….

He went up and walked in and honestly, it slipped out so naturally he didnt even realise he was saying it in front of me… with a beaming smile he blurted out “WTF”!

Ready to chastise him, he took a big inhale of breath after realising what he had said then covered his mouth and said “oh!…. Sorry”…. then proceeded to hug me.

I didnt go mental, I just told him to remember his manners, it was all so natural. 8)

Anyway Im waffling…. broken promises people…

    Dirty Dog!!!!

I dont mind dust. Having parrots you get used to it as they create their own dust as part of their own cleaning process.

I hate the smell of bleach and cleaning products, but I love the smell of fresh washing though. 8)

well..it was a new years eve promise (which are usually made to be broken!) I was wasted..as you do…and announced to family/friends that I WOULD this year run a marathon..maybe not the full london thingy, but at least a half one! I was adamant (not adam ant of course) that i would start the new year afresh and start training immediately for the run of my life…and at that precise moment, i meant it!

The erm thing is… ive just realised that were now at the half way point of the year ALREADY!!! and to think, ive not so much as been for a brisk walk  all those good intentions went out the window, i kept putting it off saying “its winter, its too cold to run out doors in the dark and cold” …but its summer now and i still cant get my ar,se into gear!

The thing is, SOME people were not as drunk as i on new years 8) and remember the moment i announced my resolution with great delight – the swines!! i often get asked, “when is this marathon….

    ARRRRRGHHHHHH

Oh dear… thats a big PROMISE!

Dave entered the london marathon one year, brought new trainers and sent the form off and everything.

He went jogging THREE times, can back gasping each time and gave up!

Good luck to you if you do do it in the future, I could never do it.
