23 August, 2009 at 9:24 am #409264Personally I think TV in general is pretty pants these days & you are right the repeats get right on my wick.
British TV, especially comedy has got so politically correct it’s lost it’s humour.
The game shows are flooding the screen – most of which are pants.
Take Golden Balls on ITV fgs they could do that show in 30 mins if Jasper Carrot stopped wafflin on.
He used to be funny – what happened there I wonder?23 August, 2009 at 10:10 am #409265i used to watch jasper carrot in the olden days…i think he was “allowed” to be funny hence he was really funny…as you say the problem is political correctness nowadays..
having said that last night did anyone watch Jimmy Carr?….my god! his references to peodaphiles and kids sh***ing their dads if their mums lifes were in danger absolutely astounded me i didnt find it remotely funny…there are jokes and there are jokes26 August, 2009 at 3:54 pm #409266I actually quite like Jimmy Carr, Alan Carr too, not related I understand
I like some of the things on youtube ”Achmed the dead terrorist” sooooooo funny, yea you wonder how they can get away with it sometimes lol, but we have a choice eh, we don’t have to watch it

28 August, 2009 at 8:52 pm #409269Hi,
I am new to this site. I haven’t watched British TV lately, but I do remember a couple of old shows that I absolutely loved! One was “On The Buses”, and the other was “Mind Your Language”. I would like to hear from anyone else who remembers these “Britcoms”. Cheers!28 August, 2009 at 10:59 pm #409270Loved mind your language val … brilliant , and as will said the best comedy ever “only fools and horses”
