muslim extremists have released a statement saying that, the first of five british hostages will be killed. unless the british troops withdraw from iraq.
now i have a very nasty feeling that, in ten days time. these maniacs will actually do this. they have been embarassed by the teddy bear circus. and a live beheading is just the thing they need if they want to instill hate and fear amongst the british government and the people. every family in britain discussed the teddy fiasco, didnt they ?
what better time to drive the message home by killing a british hostage live on tv. to make sure we all get the message. ?
i hope against hope that im wrong on this, but ive got a real bad feeling about this situation. its going to get a lot worse very fast.
    what thinks you folks?

As I said on a previous post a couple of months ago, Pete Moore (the engineer now named) was my old IT engineer from 3 years ago- at work, we’ve known since June that Pete was one of the 5 kidnapped – he was (is) a really decent bloke, intelligent with a real desire to improve the lives of people less well off than himself, OFTEN vountarily and always in places most of us wouldnt think about.

Really hope it works out for him

i know i rantd like a mad thing. i often do . its a heat of the moment thing and i just do it. generally i know i take things to an extreme, but it gets folk going sometimes and thats what were here for innit ? sorry if i offend but im prepared to take as good as i give and often change my opinion. so were learning all the time as well. :) :)

Wasp, the beauty of JC is we can say what we think and believe…people will agreee and disagree but if Emma can’t offend me then sure as eggs is eggs you havent

Things that happen anger me beyond description but taking out a mate at work cos he’s a muslim just doesnt make sense to me, thats all

youre right. it makes me as bad as them. but i just feel as though there is never any justice going the other way ? ive had a lot of bad dealings with asians, as where i live they are in the majority. [in the town centre that is.] i have been insulted called a whore and been spat at, all whilst either working in the hospital, or standing behind a bar. i dont know of any white lads doing things like that to asian women. although im not saying that it doesnt happen. my son is giving evidence this week over a case where 4 asian lads set about a lad and beat the crap out of him, when the police arrived the white lad was arrested, and only after an angry crowd gathered did they arrest the asian men. and i think that was a safety situation. but if anyone attacks an asian man its news headlines that a racist attack has happened to a poor asian. sorry not buying that one. honour killings ? id do anything to help a fellow woman a hand out of a bad marriage. ive done it for friends before. but they hide and lie and deny, and then, when one dies its the governments fault for not giving them enough money to pay for english classes.!!
see there i go off again at a tangeant.

Peoples experiences will often dictate their views and outlook- it would be odd if they didnt.

I think we do not place enough emphasis on what this nation is as opposed to what it isnt. I believe we are about as full as we can get in terms of permanent residency but also recognise economic migrancy sustains particularly our service and hospitality sector.

There was a BBC programme about 4 weeks ago about the immigration during the 70’s and 80’s from the “sub continent”- it showed very ably that whilst Indian immigration integrated very well with our society and indeed Indian’s are now among the higher wages earners, claim less benefits and contribute more in taxes than their “white” counterparts, the opposite was said of Pakistani and Bangladeshi immigration- less integration, earn less and contribute less whilst claiming more.

There were reasons why including the “class” of the Indian and Pakistani immigrants and the areas they settled in amongst some of them.

And yes, I do believe some sections of the media “underplay” tensions which exist in certain areas and do “over” play one racist attack because its white on black but “underplay” another because its black on white BUT I dont blame a race or religion for that- I blame our current government for creating the culture
