Both my moms nans killed themselves and 2 of her aunties. All many years ago, a lad i knew killed himself at 17 years old!! No one knew why, i went to school with him, he was so popular, had a great car, good home. He to me, seemed to have it all. So i always wondered why?? Killing yourself isnt something you “want to do” its a torture and the only thing you see is right. No one knows what goes on in someone elses head coz if we did we could all make a difference couldnt we? As i have read in this thread quite a few times depression is an illness and needs treating, once you admitt that, there is a start. Most people think they are fine and not depressed…….they are the ones who take their life.

Your so right Becky………….until you admit you have a problem you cant get the help needed……..

My friend killed themselves a few months ago……….I spoke to them on the friday night and the next morning I learned they had killed themselves….

I kept asking myself has did her mum and dad, brothers etc why didnt we recognise the signs……….

Oh the big question What if ?……………….

It is a tremendous strain on everyone left behind……………but it must also be the most difficult decision to take your life…………and a will to complete that thought……..I myself think I would be too much of a coward to go through with it……………
