It’s turning into a disaster because of scare mongering morons like you propagating a climate of fear stopping us leaving the EU
oh dear, that’s scraping the bottom of the barrel, isn’t it?
The conflict has been entirely within the Tory party, and within the government doing the negotiating.
The negotiating team weren’t worried at all about the Remainers. A guy called Ollie Robbins was in charge, and their worry was purely with the Tory brexiteers within the cabinet. You remember the resignation of Boris Johnson and David Davis last summer over the Chequers deal? Or the resignations of Dominic Raab and co a few days ago?
Sounds a bit like sour grapes to me, Mr Smear. A bit of an explosion of resentment that you lot have come to a dead stop, and that there is even the possibility – just a possibility at the moment – of a referendum to return us to the EU, where we rightly belong. Time to scour out the lies and distortions again, as with the EU budget. I’m sure you’re ready and willing.
Or do you have access to information the rest of us poor sods outside the negotiating room have??
Or are you just making it up because the brexit is turning into a dog’s dinner??? Hmmm think not
” Or are you just making it up …..”
Do you say that to everyone ? just wondered….
Sorry can’t let this post go… It’s positively brimming with smugness and unbelievable swings in rhetoric
Firstly I’d just like to point out that I just don’t get the title of the thread
Britain is not the EU’s equal in strength, and boy, does it show
Is this meant to be informative or sarcastic or what ? who said it was ? Do you actually believe that ppl who voted Brexit thought it was ? It’s just a ridiculous thing to say , either because you think we are all so thick we thought it was, or because you think you are actually trying to educate people lol ?? They’re the biggest trading bloc in the world.
Sour Grapes ? kidding right ? The remainers have been full of sour grapes since the referendum results came in ! ! That is just a classic comment- hilarious !!
just a possibility at the moment – of a referendum to return us to the EU, where we rightly belong.
We don’t belong in the EU, obviously we don’t as The Country voted to leave the EU or had you forgotten that ??? Despite the hash that has been made of finding a Brexit deal, with both the Government and the EU to blame, The Country voted to leave. Why would anyone even want another referendum ? It would hold no value what so ever, surely a democratic vote is just that and should stand. Surely anyone who believes in Democracy should abide by it !!

We all listen to the news, what is your point ? You just keep name dropping people and dates as if you were ‘in on the convo’ you don’t actually make a point !!
Why do you constantly harp on about humiliation ? I don’t feel humiliated at all. I feel let down by politicians and disgraceful attitudes of people in general, but not humiliated.
Britain is now the laughing stock of Europe…
Says who ? you ? because you post up yet another silly photo with a wrongly explained joke under it ?
And talk about emotive and blustering…
There is no historical law which says that Britian will avoid the fate of empires like Spain in the past…once the mightiest empire in the world, declining gradually and then quickly into a stagnant economy, desperately poor…..
Right was that because of a few terrible wars lasting years & years, revolution and a Dictatorship ? or because they too joined the EU ?
There is no historical law which says that Britian will avoid the fate of empires like Spain
What on earth are you talking about ? Historical law ? How could there be ? what does that even mean ? please explain ? And btw, we aren’t an Empire any more …….
More emotive bleurgh…..
then they strike me as a lot wiser than people like rudeboy, and the liars and crooks of the Leave campaign, who’ve landed us
You have said yourself, more than once, that there was bad behaviour and lies told on both the remain and brexit campaigns, did that not happen now ? The remainers all of a sudden were lilly white, while the brexiteers are all despicable liars and racists and xenophobes ?
Get A Grip !!

Sorry to break up the mutual congratulations between you and gerry, but
I can only answer a bit at a time.
I’ll return to these points, insofar as points are made. You may not liike it, but there are other important points to answer.
19 November, 2018 at 10:02 am #1109476The youngsters worry for the youngsters today. That why they are overwhelmingly – 7 to 1 – in favour of rejoining the EU.
There is no evidence of this at all.
19 November, 2018 at 10:10 am #1109477I wish Sceptical would stick to topic and answer question posed to him. I remember posting an even longer view on the EU a few months back with his response of ” I will deal with this in a few days” yet no response of course and reverting to type putting immature caricatures up of May/Trump slithering around not answering anything directly.
This is more or less what Mooosey has been saying in her long post just now.
Are you up to this, Mr Mensa?
The liars and crooks who ran the campaign to get the UK out of the EU – and look where it’s ending! – seized on facts like the one you used on p.1 of this and made hay with distorting them in order to give some sort of intelligent appearance to their arguments.
They played on people’s fears and grievances over the austerity which has harmed the health and welfare of the people who live in this country and, like you, blamed the EU for it.
You’re now updating these facts so that people like Mooosey and co can feel that their case for leaving the EU is sensible.
Of course they would feel that, the facts appear to be crushingly obvious.
Appear to be.
And these facts are then mixed in with nasty personal smears and ridicule on here to stop anyone thinking about them.
Shall we start with this?
Sceptical we pay far more into the EU budget than we get back, actually it was a net contribution of around £8.5 billion last year (£23 million a day), which is more than we spend on the police service or border controls.
The NHS costs £8.5 billion a month and the Health Service would get an extra £5 billion a year as a result of Brexit.
You really want this crap answering???
Mooosey was posting about people slithering out of arguments as well. Does she rally mean that?? Or is she just using cheap rhetoric?
19 November, 2018 at 10:30 am #1109478so your response to points made is ” do you really want them answered” and a personal favourite of yours “I will respond in a few days” which basically means you have no answers once again lol. You must have been a court jester in a previous life as your posts just get more ridiculous the longer the thread goes on. Are you going to answer points made to you by Jamie, me, Ge, Moosey and drac or continue to make a complete ass of yourself?
19 November, 2018 at 10:53 am #1109479you may not have noticed, Mr Big Deal, but
this is a brexit-heavy board, and a brexit-heavy site.
I’m on my own here. I’ll answer points when I can, because I’m the only one on this board arguing for the EU, and there is a distinct possibility of a referendum coming up – we’ll know soon.
If there were more than one of me, then the points would be answered more quickly.
And now it’s your turn.
“Sceptical we pay far more into the EU budget than we get back, actually it was a net contribution of around £8.5 billion last year (£23 million a day), which is more than we spend on the police service or border controls.
The NHS costs £8.5 billion a month and the Health Service would get an extra £5 billion a year as a result of Brexit.”
But I have a very busy day today and it’s not in JC. I want to make sure that we’re all ready and listening – all those interested in serious points, as opposed to cheap rhetoric about slithering, and I want to make sure that I’m making my point without everybody drowning in statistics.
I said I’d answer it, and unlike you I’ll quote my sources. You can see I’m not evading it. You just have to have a little more patience as the answer unfolds, Mister Smear, and I’ll take any of your responses seriously, too – if they’re serious.
