I dont remotely think it was taken the wrong way, that infers people were outraged and i dont think anyone was to me it was a wtf #-o reaction.. i think will quite often doesnt think before he posts or at least doesnt consider what he’s typed before he hits submit. If he’s left it’s more his over reaction than anything else, he claims he dont care but he’s way over sensitive sometimes. You post something stupid on here people will take the piss but mainly it’s harmless.
Just stop lurking eh willI don’t think Will’s comment was taken out of context, neither was it taken as racist by the person it was aimed at. And since the person it was aimed at has said that Will emailed her and apologised, that she told him that she didn’t take it as racist and she told him not to leave, why is everyone still going on about it not being racist in their eyes?
To me it was in the same category as me being called English (I’m Welsh, and it often happens) or a Canadian being berated for issues stemming out of the US, or a Kiwi being called an Aussie – some could find it offensive, but for a sensible person it’s a mild irritation and something you grow a thick skin over.
For what it’s worth, Will lurked for many years before posting, he’s probably still lurking now, and no doubt he’ll come back when he feels like it – we all go through phases of backing off posting on the boards or chatting in the rooms from time to time.

It’s not funny it’s not even amusing though it might have been if it had been deliberate i guess in a self parody kind of way.
Ok it’s no huge deal either, the only person making it a big deal is will and now people seem to be pointing fingers (not in a nasty way) at anyone who made comment. Will claims he’s left because of that, it’s frankly a huge over sensitive reaction or a ploy i’ll let you decide which :wink:Anyway they’re Native Americans ffs
I think will’s leaving (again) is down to him. Now if he has left because of some mild comments regarding his posts then “grow up” is about the only comment i’d make to him.
If anyone thinks it’s perfectly ok for anyone who replies to a post, where it’s obvious Kenty has pride in her family and her grandfather in patricular, by asking someone to dress up as a “Red Indian” then i’d question their values and their sense of humour.
Now if it had been a comment full of self parody trying to say he didnt know the difference then that may have been different, but it wasn’t.
It may have been an honest mistake but at best it was ignorance. Should that have just been let go completely. Comment was made will apologised (though i still dont think he knows why he apologised) end of story.. except he’s over reacted and is merely lurking now and enjoying being mothered i expect :lol:If he wants to stay gone thats up to him, at best these threads are going to make others feel guilty when they have nothing to feel guilty about. I dont include myself in that btw, it was a crass comment and i stand by that

No one is against you ya daft twat and as far as i can tell no one thought racism.. Kent wasnt talking about Red Indians ffs, it was more crass or ignorant, had she said her grandfather was Apache then just maybe (but again maybe not).
