Oh, look at the news. You can’t rule anything out, not even a referendum on the deal before we leave though that is unlikely).
I think the only way a referendum would happen if there was a leadership contest and someone like Anna Soubry won, or if there was a general election and the tories lose. Both of these scenarios are very unlikely.
Theresa May could easily be out of office by the end of the year. Her deal may easily be voted out by the Commons.
I though she would have been out of office months ago. The Conservative party is too weak to get rid of her.
700,000 people is very important. It represents a very large number of activists fired up, and can mobilise many beyond its ranks. Such a number has rarely appeared on demonstrations.
It still means nothing.
But I feel very proud of those people.
Why?

I just said that it was unlikely that a referendum would be held in the short run, and that nothing can be ruled out because the situation is so volatile at the moment.

why not?

I agreed with more detail provided.
why not?
Because they haven’t done anything worth being proud of.

29 October, 2018 at 5:16 pm #1108564Well, if good ol’ trustworthy and reliable Chris Tarrant is saying so…
then perhaps it’s time to have another think about whether we should be leaving!
Alas, looks like we’re out on 29th March, good or bad.
If no deal, it’s not going to be all that good.
If with may’s deal (and there is certainly a good chance of that) thene xpect a Brexit boost, as the uncertainty hampering much investment lifts.
And after that…
then we’ll all be queuing up to get on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, even if the nasty Jeremy Clarkson is the host.
29 October, 2018 at 5:47 pm #1108566Lol he is as entitled to an opinion as everyone else is, if everyone who had an extra marital affair was banned from having a political opinion there wouldn’t be a government lol !!
Love JC me …. Not the Chatsite and Not the long haired guy who’s birthday is fast approaching, apparantly ….
29 October, 2018 at 6:03 pm #1108568And even apparently too oops !
29 October, 2018 at 10:32 pm #1108592The comment about the long-haired guy is too cryptic for me, but
it’s not the right to have an opinion that I’m denying.
Just the sense of the opinion, though it doesn’t surprise me.
European fatcats creaming off billions off poor us?
Jeez!
Has he been denied a European tv show or something?
