That’s going to be a problem, Drac.
As things stand, there is no majority in Parliament to ‘do the brexit’.
The people voted to leave the EU.
But leave the EU how? hard brexit (Canada option), soft brexit (Norway option), no deal at all (WTO option)? No majority in the country for any of these.
Your wish has no more support than mine at the moment.
The people voted for a government to do the brexit in June 2017, and the govt has made a hash of it by going for a compromise which nobody but nobody likes – Chequers.
If they can’t decide what to do, do another general election.
If still no majority, THAT is the time to do another referendum.

To be honest sceppers………….answer this question honestly…………..if you were Prime Minister………….would you solve all the countries problems?…….by the way…………just remember that what ever they pay you as Prime Minister……..it will never equal the Queen’s wages……….
So technically speaking….shouldn’t the Queen actually be in charge?….
No because Parliament saw to that………
Only galloping horses and infantry are actually ever in charge ok add a few cannons…..LOL…………
2 October, 2018 at 9:16 am #11069992 October, 2018 at 9:18 am #1107000Actually, the chances of May pulling off a deal which will satisfy nobody, and then pushing it through Parliament by stressing that the alternatives are catastrophic, are not bad.
Not good, but not bad.
Then we will leave and it will all be over.
Or it won’t be all over as things are likely to get pretty nasty shortly thereafter.

Oh Mr Q
15 October, 2018 at 1:04 pm #1108043Looking like it’s time for a new thread soon, as total chaos is looking very likely.
We didn’t vote for food rationing or a serious worsening of living standards, and that is starting to loom ahead.
Unlike some, I actually think that discussion and debate on serious topics are an essential part of a democracy.
If you just leave it all to the PM, or politicians, claiming they’re all lairs (as q has indicated), then we might as well give up on democracy and leave it to voting once every so often, relying on information given to us by our rulers.
To me, that’s an incredibly unhealthy approach to democracy.
There’s no ban on political discussions here, and the more discussion, the better.
17 October, 2018 at 5:50 pm #1108130I have a feeling that this is more or less true (I always try to avoid the precise figures).
