It’s not Goebbels who wants that situation, my Nazi-sympathising man. I don’t want that situation, though I’ll be happy enough with it. It’s Parliament whihc wants that situation, you dope. They’re going to take control away from May if she comes back without a deal, and she’ll ask for an extension to Article 50 by all the hints she’s been giving the past few days. She cracked the whip at the Checkers meeting, saying that she’s in charge from now, and the whip was taken away from her within days. She’s a weakling who bobs along on the tide at the moment.
She has one chance – the willingness of the EU to agree a deal. Can they square the circle? We’ll see by September. If they can, then she could get it through.
Hard brexiteers like you are losing control of this process, and fast.
The government’s plans for no deal are Project Fear become real. Nobody but the real hardcore brexiteer fanatics want what’s coming if no deal is reached.
