1st vote, June, 2016 – referendum – a small majority for leaving the EU, fought after a disgraceful campaign (it’s not about facts, it’s about emotions, said Arron Banks, the ‘lead them up the garden path’ leader of Leave.EU, yesterday).
10 10 10
March 2017 – May invokes Article 50, with 2 years to leave the EU.
10, 9, 8, 7
2nd vote June 2017 – general election – a tough, no deal is better than a bad deal, brxit fails to gain a majority
7 6 6 6 7 6 as traaaaaaaaasitionnnn agreed, lasting until 2020, or maybe a lot longer
7 6 6…
where it ends??? nobody knows

all I’m setting up is a countdown.
I’m glad we agree that the referendum campaign was a disgrace, though. That’s why I’m against a second referendum to take us back in.
Just doing a countdown from interest.
Also because the issue is so important. I’m not stopping debate just because of a dishonest referendum campaign.
13 June, 2018 at 12:43 pm #1098103A more disgraceful campaign was all the scaremongering from the remoaners about our economy collapsing .. all lies and nonsense. We’re leaving , accept it and stop complaining
Hear hear! Bloody remoaners, especially that Miller woman do my head in. It was a simple question for a once in a,lifetime vote…in or out. Out won,and ever since then, the remoaners have whinged and complained and had tantrums because the result didnt go their way. diddums!
Were they like this as kids? didnt they like losing? tough! suck it up buttercups!
I mean where does it stop? do we have endless referendums and elections until people get the result THEY wanted?
We are leaving!

13 June, 2018 at 1:06 pm #1098106Deary me, Jane, what are you worried about?
For me, it stops when we’re back in the EU,
but nobody’s going to want to rejoin the EU if brexit is a success.
If brexit is a failure, only the brexit fanatics will want us to be outside
but for the moment, we’re leaving.
I’m just looking at the countdown.
Nothing more.
I’m afraid you’re not going to stop people disagreeing with you, though I note that several serious threats are now being made against MPs who are a bit worried about where brexit is going.
And where is it going??
oh, yes, out of the EU. Brexit means brexit, so
why worry?
13 June, 2018 at 1:22 pm #1098107Got myself an irish passport so I’m covered either way I can still travel visa free within the eu and work in the Eu and when brexit fails ill be the first to laugh at the brexidiots crying

I am green (geddit) with envy, but I still have hopes that Northern Ireland will allow me an escape.

I will so hate you when I hear you laughing, paigey – if I am still trapped here, that is.
Still, how can brexit fail?? It’s not possible – is it??

I’m not worried Scep…are you? And I never said anything about anyone disagreeing with me? ermm…
13 June, 2018 at 2:05 pm #1098112Yes, jane, I’m afraid I’m very worried.
I never subscribed to the more scarem elements of the Remain campaign that the economy was going to collapse.
But I’m worried that the British economy will be boiled like a frog.
Now that depends on the countdown process.
Or I am wrong.
If I’m wrong, I’ll be sad to leave the EU but I know that the UK would never rejoin, and I’ll be mighty relieved that my fears will be unrealised.
What about you, Jane? If you’re wrong – and it is possible, don’t you think? – will you accept that we should go back in. Just if you’re wrong, mind you. Or don’t you think it’s possible you’ll be wrong.
