Australian Prime Minister does it again!!
This man should be appointed King of the World. Truer words have never been spoken.
It took a lot of courage for this man to speak what he had to say for the world to hear. The retribution could be phenomenal, but at least he was willing to take a stand on his and Austrilia’s beliefs.
Whole world Needs A Leader Like This!
The above is not my own words incidently
Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.
Separately, Rudd angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques. Quote:
‘IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. ‘‘This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom’
‘We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!’
‘Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.’
‘We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.’
‘This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, ‘THE RIGHT TO LEAVE’.’
‘If you aren’t happy here then LEAVE. We didn’t force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.’

If non-muslims go over to muslim countries they are expected to adhere to local law. To the point where like in cases of Dubai, people are thrown in jail, flogged or even worse with the cases we don’t hear about.
Of course he is going to cause outrage and probably riots! Even more reason other leaders and high profile people to stand up and speak with him.
In my opinion.7 June, 2010 at 9:19 pm #441701A fair bit of both methinks.

8 June, 2010 at 9:48 am #44170310 June, 2010 at 9:11 am #441704I’m a leftist atheist and I see radical Islam as being very right-wing in most aspects.
My view on Sharia law is this: If individuals wish to live their own lives according to Sharia law, they should be allowed to do so as long as they don’t contravene the national laws and as long as they don’t try and force Sharia law on others. National laws should remain paramount. I also think that there should be legislation that sets boundaries to the powers and claims of religions. One such law would be that the greatest penalty any religion can apply to a member is expulsion from that religion.
There are difficult questions connected with Sharia law. One is the burkha / veil or other islamic dress. Given that we’re allowed to dress how we like in this country (indeed it’s not an offence, per se, to be naked in public here) one could argue that if women, (or men for that matter) wish to go around with their face covered, they should be free to do so. On the other hand it’s not difficult to imagine that a lot of women and probably some men wear Islamic dress because they’re pressurised to do so.
One thing we have heard very little about in the media is what level of internal coercion and religious policing goes on within Britain’s Muslim communities. It might be very little, it might be a lot. Either way, it would make a very intersting TV investigation.

Susie, having just watched the video on youtube about the muslim protestors in Barking yesterday, I couldn’t agree more! If they feel so passionate about whats happening in their country then why don’t they p iss off back there!!
I’m sick to death of watching these morons get away with this. Can you imagine the uproar if we did this kind of thing at one of their marches or rallys, there would definately be arrests, and it wouldnt be them!!
Those muslim protestors were pretty much allowed to do just as they pleased yesterday, people outside of the pub though who tried to have their say were, i noticed, pushed back by the police!! outrageous, and shameful, shame on them!
