Seriously what question lol? I keep thinking I have answered it lol. But YOU keep saying I have not. Is it so cryptically hidden, in one of your posts that Alan Turing himself would have missed it? RIP Alan.

    Ask it again lol.

The question is in bold and in italics. It’s more precise than How do you assess the possibility, but it comes down to the same thing.

In the hope that Geoffrey lad isn’t talking to Bessie Bullshyte –

    Trying again.

Boris’s aim is to get out of the EU by 31st October. After that date, we can no longer negotiate under Article 50. Instead we will be negotiating under Article 218 as a third country, with all that entails.

The most likely way (not the only one) to stop him leaving before 31st October is to bring his government down in a Vote of Confidence. This is by no means certain, but it is very plausible; it could happen.

The response has been that if he is voted down, he won’t resign but will see the Queen to ask for an election after 31st October. That way, a new government is elected after the UK has left – we’ll be a ‘third country’.

This isn’t technical. Convention is against him doing this, but convention can be set aside, and he will set it aside. The Institute of Government says that legally it may be dodgy but it can be done, despite Westminster, business etc being opposed.

How would you stop him exiting the EU in that way?

A serious question, not a trick, so please ignore the typos etc and answer it, not evade it?

Or is that too much to expect?
