A few years ago we were in India during Diwali celebrations and we were special guests of friends at a display held at the Golden Temple…now that was absolutely awesome……the venue the atmosphere and the array of fireworks was breathtaking

26 October, 2009 at 9:14 pm #420262I loved bonfire night when i was young, we would go out and search for old timber or anything that would burn to make the bonfire. Each estate in the area would compete to build the biggest. The things we used to do were great fun. Today is a different story, you need permission to have a small garden fire now.
Great while it lasted, i think it was partly the danger that created the excitement. Jacket potatoes have never tasted like they did from the burning embers of a bonfire. we would walk for miles visiting each estate and each bonfire in turn, great….. :P
