You do get some idiots aiming rockets at windows etc, senseless.. And half the time, these idiots are in their mid-twenties.

I remember sitting out in my ex’s sisters garden, and they were setting off the fireworks.. I was holding my son, he was only a few months old.. I was sat there day-dreaming, everyone was running, turns out a rocket had gone out of control.

I was p issed off at the fact that (i) weren’t paying more attention..

I’m not really fussed on Bonfire Night, you include yourself to fit in, so to speak, or do it for the kids! I don’t see the point in going out, spending ££££’s on Fireworks, just a few, and a fire maybe, watch the neighbours if need be.
It’s all changed! Thinking why Bonfire Night is celebrated, is it right? Some Bloke plans to burn down the houses of parliament, and in return, we celebrate it, make an effigy of him, and burn him on the biggest fire we can find!
And,.. Penny For The Guying.. Years ago, that was so innocently done, these days, you rarely see kids doing it.

our council provides a ‘free’ bonfire and firework display on the beach each year. It’s actually quite a spectacular display. I only go cos my little one likes it, I wouldn’t bother if not.

Exactly, you just do it for the kids. 8)

our council provides a spectacular even on bonfire night too..I used to take the 2 oldest when they were younger…with the age gap of the 3rd and me being alot older and fogier I cant be arsed to do anything with him…mind you he is 13 now…..but even when he was younger

A few years ago we were in India during Diwali celebrations and we were special guests of friends at a display held at the Golden Temple…now that was absolutely awesome……the venue the atmosphere and the array of fireworks was breathtaking
