Sadly Tommy your quite right. Over 20 years since the first Live Aid, and what,s changed? Nothing…absolutly nothing. We can carry on giving money and food to these countries until the cows come home, but it won,t make a blind bit of difference. One thing they need to teach these third world countries is birth control.
The money just goes to the local authorities, Bat, who spend it on AK47s and train the local village kids how to shoot eachother because of silly little tribal disputes.
If the money and aid does go straight directly to the people, the local authorities only come along and steal it anyway!
Chucking money at them doesn’t work. What we need to do is show a strong military presence there, and personally make sure the aid goes to the people, and stays with the people!
But you all voted for the old gang lefties, who have to throw our money at these things because “its nice” and its their policy to do so.

Being a skinflint has got nothing to do with it ugo. Fact is, giving money to these countries is just like flogging a dead horse. As long as they keep on having more babies, there will never be enough food to go around, no matter how much money we donate. It,s not that we dont, care, it,s just that they don,t help themselves do they? Hence my mentioning contraception.

You portray one view, I portray the opposite. To me, one charity releif programme a year which gives some money to kids other than British seems reasonable to me.
Since its conception in 1985, Comic Relief has raised more than £337m for good causes in the UK and Africa.
Over the years, Comic Relief cash in Africa has educated people about HIV and AIDS, taught women to read, immunised children and helped people rebuild their communities after conflict.

They keep on and on having more babies..they can,t feed the ones they have already!. Decades later, they still live in poverty,with little kids running around naked with pot bellies because they are malnourised. There are parts of Africa where the men are so ignorant, they actually believe that having sex with a young girl, a virgin, will cure aids!! Havnt, learnt much have they?

Hate to agree but he has hit the nail on the head. All the millions raised each year from comic relief alone would be a huge help. Thats without all other fund raising. So why is there children still starving?? Why are the all still so so ill when vaccinations are sent out??? So many WHY?????

I believe that charity begins at home…and whilst I still see the NHS , Education going down the pan I believe that we shouldn’t be ‘comically relieving’ anyone else but our own…….. Teach them about contraception and the use of condomos to stop the spread of infection…yes yes I know a lot of them were raped by different tribal factions ect ect; but how long do WE have to continue to pay for the crimes that we had no part in :?: :?: I’m also aware that there are organisations such as OXFAM who are educating the africans on how to collect water… but ffs… they’ve been surviving long before we got there…and no doubt they’ll be around a damn sight longer than we will :!: Its a sad fact of life that so many ppl all over the world are dying, through illness or starvation…but the way of it is… we have plenty of our own problems here…..Why shouldn’t we have a children in need :?: And why should we care for a society who murder white farmers and rape their families… respond with claptrap about it not being all africans who murder whites….. see if i care.]..the fact is that they are happy to kill for a mobile phone… send em all one each and let them get on with it ….[/colo lmfao…………… :shock: :D :lol: 8)
