Keano was one of the dirtiest players around. I could not stand the man.
If players are big enough to admit when they have gone in too heavy then fair play, but the way Ashley Cole reacted was childish and without blame.
20 March, 2008 at 11:11 pm #319063Not just Wenger… that little brat Fabregas put his two bobs worth in this week to. I bet if that little shit accidentally broke someones leg he wouldn’t be imposing a self ban on himself.
20 March, 2008 at 11:13 pm #319064Any manager watching what happened would have reacted the same.
Would they all retract it though?
At least he did
20 March, 2008 at 11:14 pm #319065Shazza i carnt beleve the way he was going mad ffs thats the thing with todays players no respect

20 March, 2008 at 11:15 pm #319067It goes hand in hand with having foreign players and managers these days.
When you watch eurpean games all you see is stopping and starting because of a dive here, dive there, and lots of dirty play.
It was always going to seep in.
20 March, 2008 at 11:17 pm #319068I was disgusted with Cashley Cole yesterday, he should have walked, carried on walking and fallen over the edge of the world, he is no good to Chels.

Thing is Sunny they will all go on about how bad it is wont they, and it dont matter what team or player it is it always gets blown out of proportion.
Do you really think if it was the other way round your manager wouldnt have blown a gasket or two, he’s a big bloke he would have gone flaming loopy!
As soon as you can see a bone its all the difference in a bad tackle and a tackle with deliberate malice, the ref waited till he saw the damage before the card and that is wrong.
He should book for the initial challenge, not the aftermath.
Perhaps if we had that dic/khead ref that did the chelsea game last night, it would have been a yellow for taylor
21 March, 2008 at 12:05 am #319071Wasn’t wrong to send Taylor off at all. I think it was humanitarian if nothing else. I am sure Taylor would not have wanted to be involved after what he did. I think the ref made the decision based on the player, not on the challenge and I agree with the red. If that was me playing a park match and I wasn’t sent off I would ask for an immediate substitution. The crime may not have fitted the card, but it was the correct thing. It also stopped dead in the tracks any malice Arsenal player may have had towards Taylor. The ref did right.
