oh..and another thing!
I cant believe the amount of stories and quotes from people on the net questioning whether mikey is actually blind or whether its all part of the game  its sick i tell ya – give the guy a break ffs he is genuinly blind!!
I actually thought an interesting task would be BB tell one housemate that he isnt blind and they arent allowed to reveal it, just to see if they can keep it secret.

BLIND housemate Mikey Hughes lost his sight because of a rare genetic disorder called Stickler Syndrome.
Mikey, 33, first started suffering sight problems when he was just four years old – when an optician said he needed glasses. He then lost his sight in his left eye, but was too frightened to tell his parents at first.
Mikey then endured 14 painful operations throughout his childhood after he was diagnosed with the syndrome before finally also losing the sight in his right eye at 23.
And Mikey, who was adopted when he was just four months old, presumes he inherited the disorder from his real parents, whom he has never met.
Related Results He and his live-in girlfriend Angela, 40, want to have children – but there is a 50 per cent chance the syndrome will be passed on.
Writing on a website for Stickler’s sufferers radio producer Mikey, of Clydebank, near Glasgow, said: “At least if we had a child we would be prepared.”
Stickler Syndrome affects one in 10,000 people and symptoms include cataracts, stiff joints, a flat face with a small nose and mouth and hearing loss.

sorry but thats too funny!
17 August, 2008 at 2:17 pm #342353so he’s gonna win then right ?
17 August, 2008 at 2:17 pm #342354I always think its far worse for someone who has had sight to lose it, than to be born blind, because in a sense, if you are born without sight, you dont know what you are missing. I cant imagine how hard it must be to lose your eyesight and have to adapt, good on him for not letting it get in the way of enjoying life i say.
