You also have to ask yourself why the government has not introduced legislation to stop freeloading scroungers like Skeletor who is a Norwegian resident and who contributes nothing to the UK from exploiting the “free” NHS at the expense of genuine patients who have increased queue times because of him and those of his ilk.
Ask yourself, why didn’t he have his run of the mill minor procedure in Norway?

I had a successful double hernia op on the NHS with a 2 month wait and it cost me nothing.
I guess you have never paid national insurance before then, the NHS is not free.
It’s actually very expensive as far as healthcare goes, someone earning median wage (~£30,000) will pay about £7,000 a year in national insurance.
My household (between my girlfriend and i) pay about £20,000 a year in national insurance.
Its complete madness.

You know what drac. I’ll take back that last comment. It wasn’t right for me to suggest you pack up up your bags and leave the UK. So I’ll apologise for that one.

As to National Insurance. I’ve paid a lot over my career so in my retirement I got some reward for that by having my work done for nothing. That’s insurance isn’t it. Just like car and house and holiday insurance isn’t it.

Skeletor (Alfie) logic. In Skeletors world, you are still entitled to free insurance years after you stopped paying your premium.
Despite being a resident of another country Skeletor and paying NO tax in this country Skeletor has no qualms about scrounging of the NHS because the system in Norway is so shite, I say that only because he has just spent 2 weeks suggesting the USA system is in fact shite.
