Best Friends

What makes a friend the best? What do you value in a friend?

I’ll say my piece and if anyone else feels propeled to add their thoughts they may.
What makes a best friend?
A friend who will go to bat for you, someone that will always
be there for you with no strings attached. Someone who gives so
unselfishly, who listens without being critical or judgemental, and
who accepts you for what you are. One who you can open up to and
trust implicitly with your whole heart. You know that this is a
special someone when they are there through the good times and the bad.
It what makes a best friend when they will give up their time
for you when your feeling down. Where they will take a hold of your
hand and lift your spirits high. Where they will make you smile and
your eyes light up at the mere mention of their name. You know that
you found a friend when you feel the cosmic connection.
When you feel that you have come full cirlce with this person,
that they have shown their true colors. You know that you can rely
on them, and place your ultimate trust. Trust. The one key word that we are all seeking for, for without trust friendship cannot
abound.
To me that is what makes a best friend, and you know that you
have come home to that special someone and don’t need to look no
further to have your best friend with you again. When it feels so
warm and true then you know that your best friend will always be
there for you. No matter what.
