Lol
I get asked all the time why I don’t work…
Some poeple don’t understand that looking after a couple of kids and running a household IS work! :)
7 October, 2005 at 12:06 am #150236My sister is back in work next week, haven’t been in since she had my nephew in April… She don’t want to go back, but has to… Mortgage etc..
You have two children Squeezy, being a mum is a full time job in itself…
7 October, 2005 at 12:07 am #150237and being a son is a full time job too, i tell you

Well, I do volountary work as well, so I don’t think I’m too bad. :)
Some mums don’t have a choice but to go back to work, and I feel sorry for the ones who want to stay with their baby but don’t have that option. I’m quite thankful I dont have to make that decision.

If only busybodies would mind their own business, life would be much easier. :) Everyone has to choose how to live their own life.

Both my sisters don’t want to work, they’d love nothing more to stay at home and look after their kids,… But then they both want to have cars and mortgages, so i guess they have no option but to work… Think it’s good to stay at home and look after kids, if you work all the time look at how much you’re missing out on?
My mother used to get rom her partner: “It’s easy being at home all day, anyone can bring up a child,” until he was told to stay at home and look after her… He didn’t last the day lol…
I admire single parents…
7 October, 2005 at 12:28 am #150241yeah, i think the goverment could go a lot further into helping single mothers keep their legs closed.
7 October, 2005 at 12:30 am #150242I admire them as well – I don’t know if I would be able to manage as well as some of them do :?
7 October, 2005 at 12:34 am #150243my mum and dad struggled and they had each other, i know that, they even had to lie about how much they earned to get a morgage, the storys they have told me, and i look at them now and what they have got , they have managed to raise 2 great kids :) ok just the one… my brothers a bit of an a rse at times lol
but they managed it well, with no help from anyone really, its amazing how people get by, and how others take it for granted
i think its why i love beans on toast so much
7 October, 2005 at 12:44 am #150244Lol Soulie…my parents were the same, and there are 4 of us, My dad worked 6 days a week and my mum had to work 2 jobs. She went back to work when my youngest sis was just 2 weeks old – there was no other option.
My mum always said that she wishes tax credits were invented 20 years ago
