As you know the summers been a little stormy this year. Days when its too ruff for kayaking or paddle boarding… too little wind for sailing. So I stared looking at boards.
So what’s a bellyboard?
And a bodyboard?
Now here’s the main issues…. bodyboards are made from polystyrene and causing pollution issues.

The wooden boards seem to be for lovey sandy beach’s not the wall of pebbles around Sussex.
I pop into decathlon on my way home and took a look in person. There something really reassuring about a bodyboard. The size and shape bring back memories of those floats they gave us at school while learning to swim.
I’ve not seen a bellyboard yet on the beaches here, so I have no idea if there any good. And I cant think of anyone to ask.
So I’m going to pick up a cheap bodyboard for now. For under £30 I can try it out and think about picking up a wooden one for next summer.
